Where is Mousehole? You’ll find this beautiful holiday destination tucked away on the Cornish coast, just three miles from Penzance. With its winding streets and picturesque harbour, it was once described as ‘the loveliest village in England’ by poet Poet Dylan Thomas.
You might catch one of the annual Mousehole events during your visit too – like the famous Christmas Lights display, which has run since 1963. The entire village transforms into an illuminated festive wonderland!

1. Helford – Luxury Converted Cottage with a Private Pub and Hot Tub, Treverva

The cottage: The largest of the three Treverva Farm cottages, Helford is a beautifully converted property with an open-plan layout and en-suite bathrooms. It is a luxury choice for a group or family looking for a stylish Cornish base.
The setting: Helford sits in a tranquil spot overlooking Argal lake, near Constantine. Penryn is around 2.5 miles away, and the coast, fishing and golfing are all close by.
Boutique retreat features: A hot tub, a garden and stunning views make this a lovely place to unwind. The real surprise is the private pub on site, which is a fun extra you won’t find at many holiday cottages.
Practical stuff: Ground floor accommodation, WiFi and a dishwasher. Well-behaved pets are welcome and the cottage is child friendly.

We’re talking king-size four-poster bed from Bali and a cosy multi-fuel burner. Relax on the oversized sofa adorned with Mongolian cushions and soak up the unique atmosphere.
The setting: Easy access to the South West Coast Path and Mousehole. Discover hidden coves and enjoy sunsets over the sea. Nearby, sample seafood in Newlyn (2.2 miles) or explore Penzance (2.3 miles). Surf at Sennen Cove (9 miles) or paddleboard at Porthcurno (10 miles).
Boutique retreat features: You get your own secluded courtyard with a private sunken hot tub, gothic stained glass doors and a copper sink. This retreat comes with a luxury welcome pack too.

The living room is filled with bespoke furniture and an Italian hand-carved sofa. The outdoor hot tub at this retreat is very unique too.
The setting: Perched on a hillside in Lamorna Cove, this cottage offers some awesome sea views and is an easy drive to Mousehole. The local village pub is a short walk away, while Penzance (5.5 miles) has loads of shops and restaurants. Visit the iconic St Michael’s Mount (10 miles) or explore Land’s End (8.5 miles).

The setting: Argal sits in Treverva near Constantine, in a peaceful part of Cornwall with stunning views. Penryn is around 2.5 miles away and Falmouth is around 4 miles away, so harbour walks, cafes and sailing views are close by.
Boutique retreat features: A hot tub is the star attraction here, with a garden to enjoy and stunning views to take in. Cycling, golfing and fishing are all listed nearby for those who like to stay active.
Practical stuff: There is WiFi and a dishwasher, and the apartment is close to a pub. It is child friendly and pets are allowed.

The cottage: This splendid Georgian residence has a stylish interior and a quality finish throughout. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it is a well-suited boutique base for four guests, and its romantic feel makes it ideal for a special break.
The setting: Sea Cliff Cottage sits near Pentewan beach, just a 5-minute walk away, with the fishing port of Mevagissey around 2 miles from the door. The gardens nearby are also close at hand, and the stunning views add to the setting.
Boutique retreat features: There is a hot tub in the garden and an open fire for cosy evenings indoors. The garden is enclosed, which works well for dogs, and the luxury finish gives the whole cottage a polished, relaxing feel.
