Churn Barn is a lovely spacious barn conversion ideally suited to extended family, families holidaying together and groups of walkers keen to enjoy the stunning High Peak. The accommodation includes a magnificent living room and feature staircase, superb kitchen, four good-sized bedrooms and smart bathrooms.
There is a small games room for children and a large secure patio and garden. Set on the hillside above Chinley village, the barn backs onto Cracken Edge and has wonderful views out across the valley.
A short half mile stroll will take you down into the village where there is a super inn (The Lamb Inn) and proper local shops, a convenience store, chemist and Post Office. Walks and cycle routes radiate from the cottage, Chapel en le Frith Golf Club is just two miles away and there are numerous places to visit in the surrounding hills.
How about Peveril Castle, Whaley Bridge canal basin, the beautiful Goyt Valley, lovely Lyme Hall and New Mills' incredible Millennium Walkway? With wider horizons, all of Derbyshire's attractions are within easy reach but there are numerous contrasts in just this part of the National Park.
Castleton's Blue John caverns, Buxton's magnificent Opera House, the Dambuster Dams and the wild moorlands of Kinder Scout to name but a few. Spot the white hares on Kinder if you are really lucky!
