Countryside tranquility, perfect for unwinding. Chris, the owner was very helpful with good local knowledge and some great suggestions of places to visit.

Lovely cottage, loved the hot tub, especially when the buzzards are overhead, ... Lovely cottage, loved the hot tub, especially when the buzzards are overhead, can't fault the place or the welcome, you must try the water gardens about 8 minutes away, many thanks
Lovely cottage, in a very rural setting. Fabulous and knowledgeable owners, suggesting where to visit.
The owner made us feel very welcome. It was a comfortable cottage for 4, especially the king size bed. Maybe one improvement could be a larger outdoor table to allow meals to be taken outside in the summer months if 4 occupants. The shower was fabulous and having 2 toilets a bonus. The Hot tub and towels provided was amazing and kept maintained by the owner daily. A lovely stay.
If you're looking for a quiet out of the way cottage then this is the one for you. Accessed via single track roads and a field track it's well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with only the birds and the odd tractor to disturb the peace. The cottage and hot tub are spotlessly clean and well miantained. Chris the owner is really helpful without being intrusive. What he doesn't know about the surrounding area probably isn't worth knowing! Westbury Mill Water gardens are well worth a visit if only for the superb cafe, the Red Lion in Pembridge also does a decent pub lunch. Many thanks Chris for providing such a great base for a weeks holiday
Nicola
Great cottage in the heart of the countryside. Well appointed with plenty of space. Well equipped and the hot tub was a dream. Owner was fab, very welcoming and onhand. Will definitely be back
Bluebell Cottage is a comfortable and well appointed cottage in a rural location. The owner, Chris, lives in an adjoining property, and is most helpful and informative about the local area. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well maintained. And the Hot Tub a first for us was an additional bonus, very relaxing. If you like bird watching you need go no further than the cottage, the Woods are full of avian activity. Likewise if you are a Stargazer the field beside the property is ideal on a clear night. This field is also a bonus. Ideal for breakfast , dinner watching the stars with a beer. Plus a good space for exercising the dog. The nearby Water Gardens are a pleasant visit. Both Leominster and Hereford are a short drive away. There are plenty of things to fill your time with in this lovely part of the country. And it was always nice to come back after a day out to relax. Thanks Chris, we would highly recommend Bluebell Cottage. Paul , Sam and Rocco

Bluebell cottage was a fantastic place for us to spend our summer holiday. The cottage was very clean and equipped with all the essential items and more that was needed for our break away. The hot tub was an added bonus and was maintained to an extremely high standard by our host. The location was quiet and peaceful but a short drive to all amenities. Our host was faultless and was a pleasure to discuss various places to visit whilst there. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a truly relaxing place to stay which is maintained to the highest of standards.
Richard
We had a lovely time at bluebell cottage nice private secure garden for our dogs and a big field to walk them literally next door. Owners were lovely and really helpful it was hot while we were there and they lent us some cooling Matt's for our dogs which I thought was really thoughtful would definitely recommend
Jacqueline
We really enjoyed our stay at Bluebell Cottage. The hot tub was very well maintained and the cottage was very well equipped. Our dog enjoyed the use of the one acre area to play, the enclosed garden and even has some serious post holiday blues!
Christopher
Chris the owner was a great host. Right from the start he showed us around and explained how things worked. The holiday was what we needed. Piece and quiet, giving us time to relax. We took our two dog's with us Tier twelve year old German Shepherd and Betty a seven month Golden doodle. Both had a brilliant time. Betty had a safe field to play on next to the cottage and Tier gentle walks down the track. Also an enclosed garden behind the cottage so we didn't have to worry about them getting out unsupervised. The human part of the holiday consisted of lots of bubbles in the hot tub and plenty of nanna naps in the afternoon. Many thanks Chris, Chris Tier and Betty
Very friendly and helpful owner on hand if needed. Clean, comfortable and cosy cottage tucked away down quiet country lanes, away from it all. The luxury and novelty of the hot tub to come home to. Plenty of lovely andor interesting places to visit within a few miles radius. We had a lovely week's holiday.
Fantastic stay. Highly recommended this holiday cottage. Have to say that Chris has been one of the nicest and most consciousness owners we've ever dealt with. The hot tub is lovely and is a good quality one. The outside area with the picnic bench is great and Chris put out alot of garden games for us which my little girl loved. It really is right in the countryside and blissfully quiet. An utter joy. Previous reviews have mentioned the poor wifi there. Chris has taken steps to improve this somewhat. To be honest based on the previous reviews before we realised the wifi had been improved we had decided to have a few days of as little tech as possible. Too much time is spent staring at mobile phones. If you have mobile everyone assumes it's OK to contact you when they like. It was lovely just hanging out as a family with both our phones offline. The cottage just seems to promote a good family vibe. 5 star rating for this holiday home and very very highly recommended!! Look forward to returning when we can!! Thanks again Chris Cheers Jim
Darren
We had a lovely relaxing stay at Bluebell cottage. The cottage was very clean with everything required for a comfortable stay. The large grassed area to the side of the cottage was great to play football, swing ball and badminton with all equipment provided by the host Chris. The hot tub was spotless and was tested twice a day, hot tub towels were provided as extra to the towels used everyday. The cottage is rural enough so that you can enjoy the peace and quiet, but is within driving distance 15mins to local amenities . We enjoyed take away from the local Indian restaurant in Weobley and locally made cheese from the shop in Monkland. Chris was a great host, nothing was to much trouble. Hoping to go back soon!
We had a brilliant stay at the Bluebell cottage. Chris our host was very attentive, showing us around the cottage, providing a lovely welcome package of tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and dog treats as well as recommendations of where to eat and what to do. The hot tub was fab, we loved relaxing in it as a family after a busy day of walking or canoeing. There is also a big field right next to the 2 cottages which is fab for dogs and kids to play in! Would definitely recommend!
We had the most wonderful time at Bluebell Cottage in Herefordshire! Chris was a fantastic host, so welcoming and friendly and always kept on top of cleaning and maintaining the hottub for us twice a day! Greeted us with a flowers, tea and coffee making stuff, milk and some cakes! Such a lovely touch. The views from the Cottage were incredible and the lack of light pollution meant the star gazing from the hottub was delightful. Such a treat to be able to enjoy this Honestly the only noise we could hear was the singing of the birds! Weve all come back feeling refreshed. Thank you for the most amazing stay Chris!!! We will be back to see you soon!
Adrian
This cottage is in the perfect location to chill out and if the need arises to visit some of the best villages and towns GB has to offer. Great for children, pets and humans. Chris. the owner is always on hand to help and advise the hot tub is checked twice a day reassuring plenty of walks and the wildlife is amazing. Chris is an interesting bee keeper and will answer any questions including children. This lovely place is so off track that we had to use 'three words' to find it.Great week away last week in march '22 just before the weather turned !!!
We had an amazing week at Bluebell Cottage. Before our holiday started we were contacted by the owner about our arrival time and were given the location based on what3words. This made it much easier to find, as the cottage is in a beautifully secluded spot overlooking ancient woodland. Arrangements were also made for our daughter, Beekeeper Cottage's children and the owner's grandchildren to participate in some Halloween fun. This initial contact and attention to detail set the tone for the whole break. On arrival we were met by Chris and shown around a meticulously clean property. There was a welcome basket for us of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits. This was much appreciated. As was the welcome basket for our dog. Chris showed us how to use the hot tub and the secure meadow he has for us to run the dog in. We had a good chat with him about his plans to reintroduce our British bees into the ecosystem rather than the 1000s of imported Queen bees. He was very passionate about this, and wish him all the best, as it will make a huge difference to the area. The property being in a beautifully secluded area, overlooking farmland and ancient woodland made it the perfect down time retreat. The property has wifi, but it isn't as fast as we get at home, as Chris explained this was due to the ISP. For us this was not an issue at all, as it meant we were away from any screens. The perfect way to enjoy family games and some DVDs. Relaxing in the hot tub of an evening was spot on. A hot tub that was checked on twice a day. On our penultimate night Chris bought over a pumpkin and some templates for our daughter to carve, along with candles. We arranged a little trick or treat for our last night around the three properties. The children all had a ball, dressing up and exchanging sweets on our last night. Chris and his family also put on a small Halloween display in the meadow. Chris recommended different places we could visit. We went Gruffalo hunting in Queenswood, wandered around Berrington Hall NT so take your cards, Stokesay Castle, Ludlow Castle and explored the local picture postcard villages, got cheese from the local artisan producer and some local cider from Dunkertons. So pack your sturdy boots and go amd explore the area, it is stunning. Nothing was too much effort for Chris, he was keen to make sure everyone's holiday was the best it could be. His attention to detail made sure of that. Thank you for a fab week away, we wish you all the best with the bees.
Obviously Sykes are just the booking agent But credit to the owner Chris, who cannot do enough for you , a great stay, the property is immaculate and all the facilities are fabulous I would highly recommend to all family's or couples who are look for a quiet relaxing break. thank you
Chris is a fantastic host, from the initial welcome to the cottage which was a personal touch we really appreciated, he made us feel like we had a home from home. The cottage was beautifully presented with all the amenities and utensils you could need, and even had a welcome basket for the dog which was very thoughtfully packed. The hot tub was cleaned and maintained to a very high standard and the games field next door provided hours of fun and became a real standout for our trip, in addition to the private BBQ. This cottage was the perfect backdrop for our bank holiday weekend away and we hope to come back soon!
We have just returned from a very relaxing weeks stay at the cottage which is nestled deep in the countryside, giving us a quiet relaxing retreat surrounded by nature. Chris met us on arrival and ran through the facilities, which included a small but ample fenced garden to the rear. Which overlooked a paddock with horses in framed by an ancient wood with birds of prey circling above it. In the graded is your private hot tub which is checked and cleaned twice a day by Chris, having a dog this was a safe space to allow him to be off the lead. There is also a small table and parasol with 4 chairs and two relaxing chairs, as well as a day bed in the recess. To the side of the cottages is a field with a pick nick table and lots of room to play games. Also on arrival we had been left a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and some biscuits, as well as a dog welcome pack which included a bowl, lead, towel, cool mat and a bag of treats which Roscoe was very grateful for, and is a very nice touch. The cottage is well supplied for comfortable and relaxing self catering and is a perfect base to explore the county of Hertfordshire. The cottage has had a refurb for this year and is in very good condition with all safety aspects in place. We visited a number of places and I would suggest joining the national Trust, as a family its 126 for the year which gives you free entry and parking to all of there sites. To spend the day at one venue is around 34 so it pays for itself very quickly. Croft castle and Whitley park and gardens are a must. There is a small artisan cheese maker about 4 miles from the cottage and on some days you can have a tour to be shown how they make the cheese. If you like your cheese this is a place to visit. Leominster is a lovely small town to wonder around, with a large selection of independent butchers and grocers along with coffee shops, restaurants and dog friendly pubs. A great holiday away from all the hustle and bustle of modern life and Chris makes you feel welcome and relaxed from the moment you arrive, we will definitely return in the future.
We had a wonderful stay in Bluebell Cottage. Chris our host was always on hand if we ever needed some advice or recommendations. The cottage had everything we wanted and more besides! Our two daughters loved the games & DVDs that were in there and we all enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings too. There were so many lovely places to visit we thought Ludlow was beautiful, Hereford too. Lots of wonderful things to see and villages to walk around. Gokarting at Weobley was the girls' favourite activity but also the steak night in the Pembridge Red Lion was fantastic and amazing value for money!. All in all, a wonderful holiday & it was so lovely having Bluebell Cottage to come home to at the end of a long day.
This was what I would call the ideal holiday. A perfect getaway from the hectic daily grind! Off the beaten track but really well appointed and the fact the Internet was not so good made it an ideal escape! The hot tub was brilliant and so relaxing. A perfect enclosed space if you have a dog. The owner is very friendly and helpful and welcomed us and our dog and is meticulous in keeping the hot tub safe and clean for our use. I would highly recommend this holiday for an escape to the countryside and so much so that we are looking to book again next year.
Darren
The listing on the Sykes website is wrong the pictures on the website were out of date although I understand this has been updated since our stay. In addition, the information was wrong regarding the facilities on Sykes is wrong there is a hot tub per cottage but there are no kids climbing frame or trampoline. Owner is really helpful and the cottage is really nice.
A wonderful stay and look forward to returning. Chris was always on hand if you needed him, he was great at helping to get the BBQ started!! Had breakfast in the sunny garden, lunch out in the huge selection of places to eat whilst out and about, and dinner back at the relaxing cottage followed by a chill out in the super clean hot tub. Just perfect for time out from a busy work schedule. Thanks muchly for a memorable stay.
We had a fantastic holiday at bluebell cottage. It is set in an idyllic part of Herefordshire, right in the middle of a farm. The surrounding area was absolutely delightful there was a beautiful natural meadow right beside the house with a picnic table right in the middle, and we enjoyed a picnic there most days. In the evenings, we walked around the huge fields and watched the sky turn red as the sun set. A short drive away is Leominster and Hereford, which has all the hustle and bustle you need if you would like a change of scenery. The hot tub was absolutely fabulous it is a real hot tub, not just one of the inflatable ones, and the owner checks it every day. Speaking of which, the owner Chris was absolutely fantastic. He was always available for any questions, and is a very interesting chap we talked at length about his project to reinvigorate the surrounding areas with UK native bees, so that we are less reliant on European bees. Chris even kindly posted back some clothes that we had left in the tumble dryer, extremely kind! While we were there, the WiFi was the only slight hiccup. I had a little bit of work to do while there, but unfortunately the WiFi wasnt strong enough to hold a connection. Chris explained that this was due to the ISP letting them down, and that high speed Fibre broadband was on its way. In any case, once we got over the initial adjustment of putting down our phones, we felt that the lack of distraction helped us to focus on the beauty of the area and to have more of a tech free holiday, which was lovely. Thanks Chris for a wonderful stay.
