Etherley Dene Farmhouse is an 18th-century stone-built farmhouse in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. Built in stages over 300 years, it covers 5,000 sq ft and stands in its own mature grounds. Oak floors, wooden beams, panelled walls and a French marble fireplace in the dining room give this place real character. A hot tub is available by arrangement.

The farm is surrounded by cycle tracks and river walks. A traditional pub is less than 100 yards away. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all available locally. Weardale skiing is just 25 minutes away in winter.

The farmhouse sleeps up to 19 across 8 bedrooms spread over three floors. Bedroom 1 has a kingsize bed with ensuite shower room. Bedroom 2 has a super kingsize bed.

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
