We have just returned from a fabulous short break at Broad Oak! We could not fault the lodge at all. Super clean, comfortable and cosy and even a few flurries of snow to add to the magic! Well equipped kitchen. Much appreciated the welcome pack and great internet access too. Hot tub was the best and well maintained with a daily check.The pub on site was very welcoming with a good choice of food and drinks. We went into Bowness for an evening meal at Rastellis Italianwhich was a success but there is a great choice of pubs and restaurants to choose from. The taxi there and back from Bowness was very reasonable. Limefitt is a beautiful park and we hope to return next year in the summer to take advantage of the stunning views across to Troutbeck from the decking at Broad Oak.

We have a fantastic family break at this lodge, it is the nicest one we have stayed in. Everything very comfortable, warm and clean. Beautiful lodge. Sitting outside on the decking at tea time with a drink watching the birds come into roost at dusk was a highlight. Hot tub an added luxury also. On site pub is great and exciting for the kids to go along to. Kind welcome pack provided as well. Would 100 recommend this spacious lovely lodge to anyone looking at it. Thanks xx

The lodge was lovely, beautifully clean, comfortable beds and lots of room for storage and all our stuff ! We couldnt use the hot tub as the weather was poor but it was checked everyday and extra towels were provided for its use. WiFi was very poor for the first two days so TV not fully working but then seemed to settle down and was fine. Although there was a washing machine there was nowhere to dry clothes and no instructions as to even turn the towel rail on. Kitchen was generally well appointed but a lack of servingcooking dishes was a bit of a challenge. Overall, Broad Oak Lodge is a very superior property in a nice quiet location. It was a shame that the rain prevented us from enjoying the lovely spacious deck.

Our second visit. The lodge is maintained to a high standard and very well equipped. It was a restful holiday, rural location with occasional sheep visitors. Hot tub is a great addition and is checked daily. It is very much a home from home, excellent that there is a washing machine and dishwasher. For the standard of this accomodation it is very reasonably priced. It is fantastic value for what you are getting. We travelled from Southend on Sea to holiday here and we will definetly be back.

Just come back from 4 nights in Broad Oak lodge. Didn't want to come home! The lodge was gorgeous! Really comfortable, had everything you need and a hot tub! Which was great after a day's walking. Situated towards the back of the site, which was very peaceful and private. Our 4th time at Limefitt Park, in a different lodge, but will definitely book again. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

I have visited limefitt park annually for the past 10 years and Broad oak Lodge is the best spec lodge we have stayed in. Generous sized rooms, immaculate, lovely outdoor space to relax and hot the tub was much needed after a long walk. Also best wifi and signal

We went for a short break with our 9 year old and we loved it! The site is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The cabin is immaculate and comfortable with lots of nice touches. It was really cozy too... the weather was around 2C but we were all toasty warm. The hot tub was a big hit, it was very clean and well maintained. We ate at the on site pub and the staff were lovely. We played bar games and enjoyed a drink. We noticed that they also offer food delivery to your cabin which is convenient. We will definitely be back!!

We got home yesterday from a fantastic weekend away. The lodge is amazing, spacious and clean. The hot tub was an added bonus which we used at least once a day I highly recommend this lodge everything was supplied towels, soap, washing up liquid even a welcome tray and a pint of milk in the fridge. We will definitely be back!

The lodge was above our expectations. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and the showers were great. loved the hot tub. Would have no hesitation in returning and would definately refer to friends and family.

Great lodge to have a Holiday in with superb comfort and facilities. Lovely n clean throughout which makes a difference,really enjoyable stay. We had issues with the RCD kept tripping out when we were cooking.Maybe a better voltage or new RCD would solve this issue.

We stayed with a 1 year old and the high chair, plastic plates and cutlery was a nice touch. Hot tub was great and the man came nearly everyday to check it. Would definitely stay again. We had an amazing long weekend away. The facilities was as described, our first time visiting the Lake District, we will definitely return to Broad oak lodge. Perfectly located, quiet area with walking routes and 5 min drive into Windermere. Highly recommend to book this lodge.

Absolutely fantastic stay, the owner thought of Absolutely everything and you can tell that they really care and look after the lodge, will definitely be staying again.

The lodge was very nice but disappointingly the hot tub was not working and ... The lodge was very nice but disappointingly the hot tub was not working and that was the main reason we chose that lodge to book It wasn't working before we arrived so it would have been nice to have been told before so at least we were prepared efforts were made to try and fix it but the engineer wasn't free to come until our day of departure we couldn't use it as it was loosing water and though topped up each day the temperature didn't get hot enough to use

Really enjoyed our stay at broad oak lodge The lodge was clean and very well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub was brilliant and really added to our overall enjoyment. Beautiful lodge and will return Power kept tripping when the oven was on and hot tub had lots of tiny flies in. Needed a hot tub net and not a fishing net .. not sure what solution is used in the hot tub but it completely stripped the gel off my toes . The bin lid was open when we arrived and wouldn't close . I have my own hot tub and this never happens. All in all great weekend many thanks.

Amazing place to stay , ideally situated for exploring the beautiful Lake District. The lodge was so lovely and super clean. The owner has put thought into everything down to there being washing up bits supplied and the little luxury extras of the coffee pods , biscuits and cherry curd which was delicious. Will definitely be booking to come again!

Absolutely beautifully decorated to high standards. Loved that soaps, shower gels, towels were provided as well as cleaning detergents in the kitchen. Only slight negative point would be the cobwebs hanging in front of the front door. My kids absolutely loved the lodge itself, the location of it and the holiday play ground.

Absolutely fabulous, a home from home feeling, everything you could ever want or need, beautiful views, hot tub regularly checked outdoor dining & a short walk to the pub which served great food & the staff were fantastic, friendly & very helpful. Went with my two grandsons who thoroughly enjoyed the river & field for a paddle & kick around. I would highly recommend this lodge.

As a family this was our first time in the Lakes and also our first time in a Lodge. We could not have asked for a better Lodge to stay in for our week. It was clean, well equipped, located in a quiet position at the end of the road and generally fantastic. We could not fault it at all. The location of the site was perfect for us to travel to where we needed to get to on a daily basis within the Lakes and the welcome of the hot tub upon our return was great. 10 out of 10 for Broad Oak Lodge. Would recommend to anyone.

Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction. With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun. You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes. Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money. There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU

about 20 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD

about 22 Miles

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look". Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project. The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish! Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
