Buttermere Lodge

This was my 3rd visit to this lodge. It was extremely clean and comfortable. I went in March and it was quiet, exactly what I wanted. Weather was very kind. Hot tub was super. Location is excellent for walking into Bowness and travelling to gorgeous walks.

Our 4th time at this park, 2nd time staying at this lodge, wont be the last, the lodge is spacious, well equipped, great location.

This is our second stay at this Absolutely gorgeous lodge spotlessly clean again, thank you so much for the prosecco very generous and the christmas tree was lovely. Hot tub great after a long day walking. Everything in the lodge you would need great plus was dishwasher and washing machine eill be booking again for next year.

This is the second time we have stayed at Buttermere Lodge and it didnt disappoint it had all you need for a very comfortable stay, the bottle of proscco was a nice touch and we did enjoy that sitting in the hot tub. Close to all amenities Lake Windermere was a short walk away and local transport and the ferries if you didnt want to drive also nice bars and restaurants for the evening. The only problem we did have was that the hot tub wasnt very clean we had to get the maintenance out to address this of which they did very quickly. We will be definitely booking again in the future.

We had a great time at this lodge, have stayed previously. Very central location, we will be back.

A beautiful lodge on a beautiful site with the luxury of a hot tub. The lodge was spacious, clean and well equipped for a family of four or also ideal for a nice romantic break away for a couple. Just a few minutes walk to lots of restaurants, bars and shops.

Starting with lovely local couldnt fault , but the lodge it was clean and tidy l will say that but the Hot tub would not turn down so it stayed on 40 degrees to be told there is a thermostat in bedroom , could not find it after looking everywhere! ! , then the dishwasher was not working someone did try to turn it off then on again after Leaving it off for a day. A when it said DVD player in living area that was just for show as no lead connect to Tv ,after buying a handful of DVD. Not Happy after only being there 5 days and being August so top price. Would not entertain coming back after the owner gave us a complimentary 10 off our next stay there to experience the same problems no thank you.

Have stayed in fallbarrow Park for the last 16 years. This is one of the best lodges we as a family have stayed in.the cleanliness of the lodge throughout was excellent bright and fresh.hot tub well maintained. I would 100 recommend it and glady be back.thank you for the welcome tipple it was very much appreciated.

Back from an amazing chilled week in Bowness. What can I say about Buttermere Lodge but absolute perfection. The Lodge was better than we could have imagined, everywhere was so clean and the added touch of a bottle of prosecco was lovely. The hot tub was luxurious and was an added bonus. Lovely, clean lodge. Only downside was lack of decent wifi. The park one is okay, but a bit hit and miss. Wife loved the hot tub and would book again in the future. The decking could do with a bit of a refresh, a coat of paint or such, but that shouldn't put prospective holidaymakers off.

We really enjoyed our stay Buttermere Lodge. Lounge,dinning & kitchen and area where lovely & the beds were really comfy. We felt there were just 1 or 2 issues that could do with some attention, the bathroom floor felt very spongy around the sink area, the outdoor decking area could do with some attention. Also no information on any appliances, I know alot of them ate self explanatory but we could not fathom the microwave !

Fantastic, well equipped and comfortable lodge which our family of 4 all felt very happy to stay in for 3 nights in February 2025. It was warm, clean and felt like a home from home straight away. The icing on the cake for us was the hot tub. Despite being only a few degrees outside, it was always fun to chill out in there. The location is superb and only 5 minutes walk to all of the amenities of Bowness, yet still very quite during the day and night. Highly recommended. Would love to stay again.

We had a great stay, the lodge was spotless on arrival. The lodge was equipped with everything we needed and more. Hot tub is a lovely bonus at the end of the day. Fantastic location for getting out and about in Bowness on Windermere without using the car. Would definitely return in the future.

Lovely clean, comfortable lodge with added bonus of a hot tub. The site itself is situated within easy walk of Bowness which is a big plus all the facilities of the town are in way reach without having to use the car. Will definitely return.

Amazing stay, everything to hand that we needed. Prosecco on arrival was lovely. Lodge is beautiful, clean and perfect size, hot tub was amazing and a great way to unwind.

We arrived at the Lodge on 22nd December 2024, We was absolutely thrilled to bits as they had put up a beautiful Christmas tree, also we were left a bottle of peoseco and chocolates with a Christmas card. The lodge was beautiful and very very clean I am very fussy with cleanliness and have OCD but this lodge was exceptionally clean. There was everything we needed for cooking. Bed was comfy, Hot tub was great, the location of the lodge was perfect. Our dog was happy as she could wander on the decking and have a nosey at people walking past without getting out as it secure with a gate. Would highly recommend this lodge and we will definitely be coming back. Hopefully we can book this lodge again for next year. No complaints at all, it was perfect. Thankyou

Could not fault this lodge. Great location, clean, warm, and beautifully decorated. We visited the last week in November and loved the hot tub and the extra touches like the welcome bottle of Prosecco and the Christmas tree. Fantastic.

What a beautiful Lodge. I cannot fault this. Beautifully decorated, immaculate and has everything you need. We had a welcome pack and a lovely bottle of Prosecco. The hot tub was perfect. I will definitely come back. Thank you to the owners, great customer service and generosity.

An excellent lodge. Unfortunately the bath plug did not work so could only take showers. It would be useful to have a brush to sweep the fallen leaves from the balcony.

This is the second time we have stayed in this property and this stay was as good as the last. Everything you need is provided and the welcome Prosecco is a very nice touch. Well maintained and very clean and the hot tub under the stars is amazing. Could well be booking for a third time very soon.

This was our 4th consecutive year staying at this lodge. On access to the lodge, it was clean to high standards and in close proximity to all local amenities. We would be visiting again next summer, but unfortunately, the lodge is not available for the time frames we need.

Just returned from a 7 night stay in Buttermere Lodge at Fallbarrow Park. Very comfortable Lodge with everything that we required.The position of the Lodge is ideal to reach the site amenities and also the Lake. We would definitely plan to return at some point. Thank you. Nanette Hogan

Beautiful lodge very clean and comfortable hot tub was amazing. Perfect location short walk to Bowness shops and restaurants. Other attractions easily reached by car and boat. Park facilities good handy little shop and coffee area. Bar and restaurant area very nice not to noisy comfortable and good food at a reasonable price, Only issue was the WiFi managed to connect to lodge WiFi but unable to connect to the internet and could not connect to park internet in the lodge only in the Clubhouse. The directions we were sent were incorrect said to exit M6 at junction 26 it should read junction 36 Also barrier code given was wrong not that it caused a problem we were just given the correct code by reception Al in all a wonderful week thank you we hope to return next year

Wifi password in guide book but no wifi available. It says no internet once connected. It also seems to be in a blind spot for free park wifi never locked on for long but apart from that great lodge stayed here a few times and already booked to stay again

Absolutely immaculate in a prime position. We have stayed at Fallbarrow many times and this was by far the best! The hot tub was amazing. Booked again for next year!

Just back from a 4 night stay in Buttermere Lodge. Having stayed a number of times at the park, this was my first stay at this lodge. Everything was perfect, from the complimentary Prosecco on arrival. Hot tub ready to use, and so clean. The lodge itself was literally sparkling and clean. Including bed linen and towels. Everything had been thought of, soap, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid. Definitely will be returning. Well done

We had a great holiday but was let down when we 1st arrived to the lodge not been cleaned beds left from previous occupants, along with towels in bath tub and stains in the toilet, after calling multiple times and waiting for a call back I finally asked the people that run the property for the owner to send out some fresh linen and towels as they said no cleaner could come out so late, by now it was around 1930 this was 1830 when we first arrived after a 2 hour drive so someone came out and dropped the linen off and took the dirty bits away I had already made a pile of, I carried on cleaning and changed one bedroom when there was another knock on the door, to my delight it was 2 lovely ladies come to clean the property, they were very quick and efficient and so lovely and apologetic that it had been missed. Once all sorted by 9pm, we had 2 kids with us so we finically were able to make some food and eat, the rest of the holiday was great, hot tub was lovely, it was just a shame to arrive to a dirty lodge and kept been told Id be phoned back, I had to phone 3 times to find out what was happening and the number in the book in the lodge was for the wrong night warden, he was based at the other park up the road.

What a beautifully lodge. The style, decor and layout was perfect. All the facilities provided was great also . The only negative feedback I could give that there was some cobwebs and spiders that the cleaners had missed. Also a light suggest ..we actually put the 2 single beds together in the back room as we have a king bed at home and found the double to be a bit small. The lay out of the back room seemed to have more space and with the 2 beds together makes more like a superking and was still plenty of room ! Honestly was a great lodge and the only thing I would have changed was a bigger and bed .. such a great location on site and in bowness, was great to walk to places .

The lodge was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the beds were the best weve had on a holiday it was like being at home Kitchen well equipped with a lovely bottle of bubbly awaiting us, lounge again super comfortable Hot tube we all loved it Location quiet and relaxing The park itself is lovely, short walk into Bowness with plenty of great places to eat, we had a lovely relaxing week and didnt want to leave, excellent family holiday, we couldnt fault the lodge at all

Have just had a wonderful relaxing week at Buttermere Lodge. It was absolutely perfect we couldn't have asked for anything better. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the lodge had everything we could possibly need. We had a dog with us and it certainly wasn't a problem. The hot tub was lovely and someone came every day to check on this. We hope to come back in the future and would have no hesitation in recomending Buttermere Lodge to anyone.
