Robin's Lodge Reviews

We've stayed at white cross bay before and Robins Lodge is the best by far for location! Having a toddler, we loved that it was so close to the park's facilities and play area. When we arrived the cabin was clean and smelt amazing as well as the hot tub being on and ready to use. One thing I would bring to future guest's attention is that we hadn't noticed that there wasn't a microwave. We managed without one but had to get a little creative sterilising bottles for our child. Also, wasn't a problem as we could go out and buy some but would have been nice to have been left with a few essentials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and kitchen foil. Another point to make, especially if you have a small child, it that there were pins sticking out of the curtains in the main living area so we had to higher then to avoid any injuries. Other than the above minor grumbles we had a great stay here and would recommend!

We were very impressed on arrival with the outside of Robins Lodge from then on it only got better. Inside was spotless and everything you could need had been catered for, it was quite clear that this was not just a holiday rental but somewhere that the owners took a great deal of pride in. A huge living area kitchen and dining combined, the kitchen was very well equipped. The lounge area was very comfortable with a large TV and the wi fi was a bonus. The main bedroom benefited from an en suite which was a generous size and there also was a separate toilet. The two bedrooms were tasteful with plenty storage room and very comfortable. I cant finish without a mention of the hot tub which was a great addition to the lodge, and this was checked a couple of times during our stay by the maintenance guy. This is a very impressive lodge and a credit to Jan the owner, we would like to think that a return is imminent, I would recommend Robins Lodge 100.

We chose to stay at Robins Lodge after comparing it to the options available through Parkdean Resorts, and were so glad we did what a fantastic decision! This lodge is, without a doubt, the best weve stayed in. Its new, modern, spacious, and comes fully equipped with everything you could need for a luxury family break. The private hot tub was a huge hit with the whole family. Inside, the lodge was very well thought out with beautiful, new furnishings, and the beds were so comfortable. Bath towels were provided for all 4 of us, including seperate bath towels for use with hot tub. There were also hand towels for the ensuite bathroom, and separate toilet. We cooked a few meals using the cooker and oven. There was also a full size fridge freezer, Ninja air fryer, a dishwasher and washing machine. The location couldnt have been better just a short stroll to the main complex and site entrance, yet tucked away in a peaceful area. Also an ideal location to get to Keswick, Bowness of Windermere, and Ambleside by car. We didnt use the complex as we spent most of our time exploring Lake District. It was great to return to such a relaxing lodge and a very clean hot tub. A special shoutout to Jan, who stayed in contact with us to ensure we had a good stay. All in all, an outstanding and stunning lodge. We will definitely return and recommend to our family and friends. Ash and Manisha
We decided to book Robins Lodge as it looked much better than the lodges on offer via Parkdean Resorts and boy was that a good decision. The lodge is the best we have stayed in to date. Very modern and spacious with all amenities you need for a luxury family stay. There is a shower, a bath and hot tub which was great fun for all of the family. There is a large TV in the lounge area and TVs in both bedrooms. We used the cooker and ninja air fryer when eating in. The dishwasher was handy as well. The lodge is in the perfect location, very close to the play park, main building and site entrance but also in a very quiet spot. The park itself is lovely, it is quiet and tranquil with lots of trees and was kept in immaculate condition. We did not really use much of the on site facilities as we were exploring the lakes most days. Overall, a brilliant staycation in a fantastic lodge. Special mention to Jan who was very helpful and on hand to answer any questions we had on arrival. Would definitely return to this lodge. 5 stars
We wanted a relaxing short stay retreat and found it at the fantastic Robins Lodge. Beautifully furnished and well equipped . Comfy bed in main bedroom. Ensuite bathroom with bath and shower with large shower head was great. We relaxed out on the large decking and enjoyed the hot tub. Lodge set in a quite corner of the park but close to the amenities. Spoke to the owner before our stay and had messages while we were there. She was fantastic and caring. We will be back.

Lovely lodge, well equipped, very clean, scenic location, secluded enough for privacy. Really enjoyed relaxing the the hot tub under the trees watching the world go by. Close to the visitor centre and shop for convenience. Many thanks.

What a lovely relaxing place to stay, Absolutely fabulous hosts, very friendly and informative on the stay at Robins Lodge and the surrounding area. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels etc for bathroom and hot tub use and a well equipped kitchen. We found the hot tub clean, lovely and warm and great to sink into after long days out. Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 4 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 10 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 15 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 18 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 22 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 23 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
