Follow the 10-mile Derwentwater Lake Walk to see all corners of this magical lake; paths are flat and you’ll pass through leafy woods - you can even cruise along the way by boat. Stop off at Lodore (3.5 miles) to see the waterfall, Climb Catbells from Hawse End (4 miles) or head to Surprise View from Ashness Bridge.

Steeped in history, climb the communal stairs to the second floor and head inside. Settle down for a moment in the lounge/diner where you can switch on the TV or enjoy the views in peace.

Pop on your favourite programme for a snug night in after dining at the table by the window where you can gaze out over Skiddaw and other fells. When it comes to cooking, the kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, fridge with icebox, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.

Head to bed and drift off in the double bedroom before rising and opening the curtains to views of Walla Crag. Freshen up in the bathroom with shower over bath and WC.

A parking permit is provided for use in the long stay car parks in Keswick from March to September.
