Westfield Lodge Reviews

Nichola
Stunning accommodation, the views were amazing, so quiet and beautiful, hot tub was such an added bonus to unwind on the evenings. The host was brilliant, very welcoming and had some good tips on visiting York and the surrounding villages close to the accommodation. Will definitely be visiting again.
Jonathan
My partner and I had an amazing stay, we would fully recommend to anyone whos thinking about booking. Well definitely be back in the not so distant future.
Michelle
This is a great property set in a beautiful setting. The wifi doesnt work but we got around that. The welcome basket was a special touch as were the other produce left on our doorstep x If I had to make a suggestion it would be a bigger duvet in order to make sure it covered feet etc. Bed was extremely comfortable unusual to find this host is brilliant. Hot tub relaxing and the chickens added to the environment really lovely
Daniel
Lovely cottage with all amenities you could need. Most places to visit are a drive however very short journeys. The owners are lovely and happy to leave you to it or assist if you need any help. The Location is stunning and being in a farm you get to experience some wildlife which is a bonus obviously also a well maintained and easy to use hot tub. Highly recommend.
Stephen
We loved our 4 night stay at the very well equipped westfield lodge. Lovely setting.Great host Good location. Hope to return one day.
Great place to stay and our second time here. Location is great with York a short drive away for a day trip recommend using Monks Cross Park and Ride. Host is great and property has some nice touches such as an air fryer and coffee machine etc. The only draw back are the two chairs in the living area which would be much more comfortable if there was a sofa.
The bed was great, the eating area great, outside facilities brilliant, just the two seats for watching TV could have been a bit more comfortable.
Just arrived back from a lovely week at the lodge. Kay the host is very welcoming & on hand if needed. Gorgeous welcome treats from Terrington tea rooms, try the sweet chilli sausage rolls. The lodge is in a perfect location for visiting lots of neighbouring towns, York, the coast, Malton etc. Castle Howard is beautiful and a short drive away. There are several local pubs, Crown and Cushion was a good find with a pizza place opposite. The Lodge was very clean, beautiful views & animals, a lovely swing seat and of course the hot tub which was perfect to relax in at the end of the day. All looked very pretty with the fairy lights at night and is a good place to view stars weather permitting. The only feedback really would be there was no InternetWiFi and I had zero signal so couldn't research things. Although it did give me a break from my phone
Amazing property, was lovely and cozy, clean and beautifully decorated. The view is beautiful as well, few hens and ducks added to it! The hot tub was a lovely bonus, had a brilliant time!
Fantastic lodge with beautiful views. Had the best weekend & would highly recommend.
Michelle Moody
Lovely little retreat for two in a most picturesque part of the UK. Can easily rival the Cotswolds. Kay is a very attentive hostess, wanting to provide the best accommodation she can. Lodge is decorated beautifully and has everything provided that you'll need. A part from no Internet, has WiFi but appears not to be connected yet, didn't bother us to much as we were out and about as the weather was so good. We found the hot tub to hot to really appreciate, Kay said she would get this looked at, and I'm sure she will. The neighbouring chickens provided lots of entertainment. Cheeky chickens
This property is in a great location for a relaxing break. York and Malton are among plenty of interesting places which are a short drive away. The host is excellent and is close by if needed. This was our second visit to this property and wont be our last.
Lovely lodge, with beautiful views. Kay and Nidge were excellent hosts. Lots of welcome thoughts and touches from lovely biscuits and Bucks Fizz made it special. The lodge is spacious and warm, with heaters in each room. The hot tub made our stay extra special. Nicely situated near Malton and York, but we found pubs nearby that had lovely food. Would recommend to family & friends, thanks again to Kay x
This place exceeded all of our expectations. The homely little comforts were a lovely touch. The property owner was lovely, she showed us around and left us to it but was always just a call or text away. Honestly couldn't recommend enough
Everything we needed was there. It was very clean and comfortable. The owner was pleasant and very approachable. The hot tub was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sulabh
The property was located in a remote location in the country side which was exactly what we were looking for. You did not have to worry about other people. Owner was quick to respond, friendly and very welcoming. Felt very safe whilst here. I think it is a perfect getaway for couples. Unfortunately it wasnt as warm as I wouldve liked it to be, but then again we travelled 4 hours from down south so I put it down to acclimatisation. We also did a lot of cooking and the cooking supplies was absolutely sufficient for cooking anything. The hot tub definitely made this stay worthwhile! I recommend everyone to bring their own wet slippers! Thank you for providing us such a delightful and pleasant stay. Sulabh & Jade

We booked Westfield Lodge for my wife's birthday Kay the owner was their to welcome us and show us round. She was the kindest most helpful host you could ever wish to meet who went way beyond any expectations. The Lodge looks out onto a fantastic backdrop of countryside where Kay has her hens, geese, and donkey which she looks after so lovingly. We had some great days out and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub when we got back with the gorgeous scenery. Definitely will stay there again when we're back in the area.
