Lovely place for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The cottage is warm, comfortable and very well equipped. The hot tub is a bonus although it's at the bottom of the garden so you need appropriate clothing and footwear. The views from the house are lovely and the surrounding area is fantastic for walking, wildlife and scenery. We had nice meals at the Teesdale Hotel in Middleton good choice of gluten free food.

Amazing location and perfectly listed and described property. We were lucky with the weather and had some amazing walks in both directions along the old railway line.

This is a really lovely house in a quiet, tidy village. On arrival, there was a lovely welcome tray and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable and we slept really well, especially at the back of the house where there isnt a sound at night except for an owl. The view from the dining table up to the moors is just beautiful. The Tees Railway Path is 5 minutes walk away and the Teesside Way within easy reach. Overall, the best house weve ever rented.

Had a short stay with our 6 yr old daughter. Property is excellently presented and extremely clean. The owners have thought of everything that you could possibly need and quite a few things you wouldnt have thought of. You really can just rock up with a wash bag and some clothes. Great selection of books, games and things to keep both adults or a child entertained, loads of information on the area as well provided. We will definitely be returning again. Cannot recommend this place any more highly. Only a short drive of few miles to Middleton in Teesdale that has some greet cafes and eateries as well as a well stocked Co Op shop.

Amazing holiday. Cottage was full of wonderful, quirky things. The amount of information on activities, Events., meals, maps, amenities was second to none. Only downside was the weather, but a wealth of activities in the cottage and summer house countered that. Exceptional.

Lovely cottage with fabulous setting everything you need is there

A lovely comfy cottage in a quiet village. Great for walking, wildlife and general relaxing. Had some lovely meals in the Teesdale Hotel in Middleton 2 miles away but kitchen was well equipped for selfcatering. Lovely view from house and hot tub. Conservatory was very pleasant to sit in.

The cottage was beautiful, very well presented and had extremely comfortable bedding. The backdrop was amazing. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything you could need.

We spent a lovely week in Westholme and took advantage of the hot tub and well equipped kitchen to have a relaxing break in some beautiful countryside. The Sunday lunch at the local hotel was delicious. This accommodation is well appointed and was spotlessly clean. We would consider a return visit as there was still more to see in the vicinity. I would recommend a visit to the Grassholme Observatory which is over the road at the top of the hill where we were treated to a great night of stargazing.

Westholme is a lovely very well equipped house. Every detail has been well thought out with cupboards stocked with books and games as well as every utensil you could need in the kitchen. The welcome pack was much appreciated and a really nice touch. The house is spotless and very well maintained. The hot tub is a real bonus with lovely views across the fields. It is in an excellent location for walks or visiting the many attractions in the area. We loved it and definitely want to return

This property is amazing. It is so clean and well prepared for a holiday where you need for nothing The house is very well equipped and the hot tub wonderful situated so that you can wallow in luxury while looking at the stunning view, which can also be seen from the conservatory. Owners are very friendly and helpful. This was our third visit and there will definitely be a fourth, countryside is stunning in all weather.

A lovely, comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We found everything we needed in the well equipped cottage. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting in the leanto conservatory watching the sunset and the lovely view.

This is an absolutely wonderful property with everything so well thought out. The owners went to a lot of trouble to make us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the peace and relaxation we gained from the week.

Lovely house in a fantastic location, fabulous welcome pack. The views from the property are stunning, these views can be enjoyed from the hot tub which was great after a long walk and a delicious meal in the local pub.

A perfect cottage in a great location. There was everything you could possibly need including really helpful information about walks in the area we took advantage of two of them, information about local eateries would recommend the chippie in Middleton cooked fresh to order, a fabulous hot tub and a welcome basket we really appreciated. We also enjoyed the quiz games in the TV cupboard and a pizza at the local pub. Would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage and it met all expectations. The owners really do go the extra mile to make a memorable stay. The welcome pack and birthday card and choccies are a thoughtful touch. We highly recommend and if in the area again we would book this gorgeous cottage.

We had a great time. The property was spotless and extremely well equipped with extras that were not expected. Everything was clearly marked and easy to use. Gated drive and secluded hot tub were a bonus.

What a wonderful house, with wonderful views in a superb village full of friendly folk. There is easy access to some pleasing walks right on your doorstep and cycling is popular in the area too and if you are not so inclined, then the hot tub, Conservatory and or Summerhouse provide books, boardgames and even a cocktail maker. The owners have considered so much in setting up this home from home that it was a real wrench to walk out the door at the end of our short stay. And the local people are so friendly and welcoming we know we shall be back to share some more time in their company.

Beautiful property in an astounding location. Everything on hand for your comfort, entertainment and relaxation. A great deal of thought had gone into providing visitors with everything they might need to make their stay enjoyable. Excellent accommodation. Lots to do with short distance of cottage

It was lovely to stay at Westholme again. The cottage is excellent with everything you might need. The welcome pack is such a lovely touch with wine, beer, chocolates, eggs, milk, crisps and sweets. The cottage is extremely clean with lovely fresh, crisp bedding. The views are stunning and it's very peaceful. We love Mickleton, the food at The Crown is superb, especially Sunday lunch and the pizzas at The Blacksmith Arms are fab. We look forward to visiting Westholme again.

My family had a great time staying here and the surrounding area is beautiful. The cottage was very clean and tidy. We also as a family, made good use of the hottub. The beds were very comfortable and relaxing. The shops are not too far away and the local pub was a great place to visit, especially for Sunday dinner. We had a great time here.

I highly recommend this lovely cottage. A delightful Christmassy welcome pack greeted us when we arrived. The fire was lit and made it warm and cosy. There are two great pubs in the village. The Blacksmiths Arms very friendly serving good choice of ales and wines and pizzas. The Crown was serving delicious Street food I recommend the Spanish Chicken cooked in a wood fired oven. The Rose and Crown in Romaldkirk serves great food. Well worth a visit to Middleton in Tees great Sunday Lunch at Teesdale Hotel would recommend booking. Lots of interesting shops. The cottage was clean, well located and very well equipped. Owners were friendly and very helpful. This is the best holiday cottage we have ever used.

We had a lovely stay, the house is beautiful it was extremely clean and comfortable, the children loved all the books and games and the outside area for playing. The hot tub was great and we all enjoyed relaxing in there. There was everything we needed and so much more.

Fantastic cottage. Very well equipped kitchen extremely clean everywhere. The welcome pack was so good too. The bed was very comfortable and the views from the back bedroom are beautiful. The same views you can see when sitting relaxing in the hot tub. We loved our stay here and would definitely return.

Fabulous Cottage with everything you would need and more! The owners have thought of every little detail to make your stay the best it can be. Hot tub was fantastic, clean, beautiful and peaceful scenery surrounding for ultimate relaxation. Great walks on your doorstep for shorter easier routes and longer for the hikers out there, the owners have planned routes and maps in leaflets for you also. By far the best place we have stayed and have already recommended to others, if your lucky enough to get booked here your in for a treat! Weather won't be an issue as if you want to hibernate indoors there is more than enough books and games to keep you entertained. Bedrooms are spacious with the comfiest bed we have slept on both with ensuite bath and shower, there was a lovely bag in each cupboard with little extras in also but I will let you check them out, it's the extra little things that make it special sometimes and this place is packed with them!
