Would definitely recommend. The property is on a complex, very comfortable but had to go up the hill to the car park. Debbie was extremely helpful during our stay.

Third stay here and it was great as always. It has everything you need. The location for us is a really good base for walks to other coastal resorts, and theres a good bus route to Whitby and resorts in between. Theres a pub, a chip shop and a tea room if you dont want to go far. The hot tub was welcome after long walks. A coastal walk to Staithes and back is an favourite. We were blessed with great weather. My only slight complaint on the last night was noise late on from a hen party in the lodge opposite. They were smoking outside and quite noisy. We choose this cottage as its usually so peaceful, and doesnt generally allow stag and hen parties. Maybe it was a one off, and wont put us off from staying again. Excited to see the new development in the future with the on site bar and restaurant. Thanks to the staff for being so wonderful again.
Could not fault the accommodation. Ideal location for walks on the coastal path to Staithes and Runswick Bay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Debbie suggested good places to eat out. A very enjoyable and restful week
Debbie
We had a brilliant stay with our two granddaughters and our pooch. The cottage had everything we needed and more, the location was perfect for us, Debbie is a brilliant host as is her team, always on hand to help out with information about places of interest, there where plenty of nearby beaches and bays too. We will definitely be going back. 5
Amazing stay! Such a beautiful cottage, and even better than pictures! Beautiful extras and such a perfect location. Staff were so welcoming too!
Louise
It was clean, warm and comfortable and we enjoyed a sunny week in this beautiful part of the country.
As ever Debbie was amazing anything you need is provided and your really looked after. Accommodation great and the complex is being updated all the time. Already booked their new lodge for next year can't wait. Definitely recommend
Great accomodation and location. The staff were 1st class
Louise
We loved our stay at St Hildas Cottage. The cottage was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The rear garden was private and the hot tub was a great added bonus. The location is central to so many other coastal villages. The listing with Sykes does give the impression of a standalone cottage, but the cottage is part of a complex. This wasn't a problem for us at all and we didnt see this as a negative thing, but it may be worth mentioning in the listing. We would love to go back and are already looking to book for next year.

Perfect place for a peaceful, beautiful holiday, amazing views and locations all around you. Quaint lovely village, cottage was wonderful, some furniture and decor look slightly different to photos but all are improvements and cottage was faultless. staff were always helpful whenever we approached them , would highly recommend and would definitely book again
Great property in a lovely setting. Would highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic week at St Hildas cottage everything was great, the staff were pleasant and helpful with special mention of Debbie who was lovely. If ever staying in the area in the future we will look to stay here!
We had a lovely stay, the location is great for accessing the coastal path with nice walks in both directions. Staff were all really helpful. Overall it was a really relaxing and comfortable stay with the cottage in a great location to explore the area. Added bonus was the grass area and football goal that my son really enjoyed.
Had a fantastic stay at St Hilda's Cottage with the grandkids and everything you could need was provided. The weather was brilliant and the hot tub was a firm favourite for all of us!! Debbie was amazing and dealt with any queries quickly, even down to getting a new oven installed within 24hrs!! Will definitely be coming back

We had an issue on the first night that was swiftly dealt with by Debbie and the owner. The cottage was a perfect honeymoon location and the staff were warm and welcoming We will return to the cottages as they are ideal to explore the local area
Caroline
A very wellappointed cottage in a lovely little complex. Lots of living space, big and well laidout kitchen area. Really enjoyed the hot tub! Our few minor issues with the property were very quickly dealt with by Debbie when we reported them. Would come again!
Couldnt fault our stay at all. Lady on reception Debbie I think! was lovely couldn't do enough for us very welcoming, the cottage its self was beautiful and fully equipped. slightly over packed dont fetch, tea, coffee, washing up liquid, cloths , kitchen roll, toilet rolls ect! hot tub was well maintained . Lots to do around the area, was sad to leave. Would recommend to anyone.
Amanda
The property was modern , comfortable and luxurious. Everything was to a high standard. Lovely hot tub, welcome pack with milk, luxury biscuits etc just made it extra special. We went for our mini moon and it honestly couldnt have been better. We love the area , and the cottage was the perfect base for us to walk, explore, see some beautiful scenery and eat amazing food.
St. Hildas Cottage has a lovely home from home feel about it. We loved it from the moment we walked in. The hot tub was a bonus for our aching legs after we had been out with our dog Buddy. Great location for walking the Cleveland way and plenty of other places a little way in the car if you don't fancy walking. We were made very welcome by the site manager Debbie, a very lovely helpful lady. Very informative. Lovely food at the Badger Hounds worth a visit. All in all we had a lovely break, just what the doctor ordered, Thank you St. Hildas Complex
After getting two flat tyres on the days leading up to staying in St Hilda's Cottage, it is safe to say I was very stressed before arriving. When I arrived, all those stresses instantly melted away. I was greeted by the lovely host who showed us to the accommodation. The cottage itself was lovely and warm on arrival with complimentary snacks. The main bed was incredibly comfortable and the hot tub in the back garden was a lovely addition. Would highly recommend it.
Everything perfect
This is a beautiful and outstanding complex of varying properties. In a beautiful quiet location. Facilities were comfortable and clean and staff were available for advice and queries. I will be going there again to try some of the other rooms available.
Beautiful cottage. Wonderful welcome and service, showing us all the details. Lovely touches with fresh eggs and milk on arrival. Really nice peaceful location. 10 minute walk to the Cleveland Way. Bed a bit squidy for me, but that's probably personal preference. Would not stop us from returning.
Murray
Great holiday cottage. Cottage is part of a wider complex. We were well looked after and the cottage is great. Considering it is pet friendly it is in really good condition. We had a very good week here.
Amanda
The property is great with a fully equipped kitchen, large living room space and enclosed garden at the back of the property.

Loved the cottage, but if you have any form of disability this place wount suit you, sink in bathroom to high to be able to use it properly, hand rail in bathroom badly needed, hand rails near hot tub needed as well, a roof over hot tub would be a great thing to add , this would stop bits failing in tub and give you more previous from caravan at back of garden, Debbie the owner was amazing, she couldnt do enough to help us, seanery around this part of the country amazing, some really strap hills everywhere you go so you will need to be able to walk up hills
Where to start, just got home from a fantastic holiday at St Hilda's cottage, Debbie and her staff were great couldn't do enough for you, as for the cottage, what a great location, very clean and comfortable, hot tub was a major bonus. We would recommend The Badger and Hounds for food plus only 5 mins walk away. Everything is on your door step or a short drive away. Great place and again great location, would highly recommend and hope to go back soon.
Theresa
The cottage is listed as detached but it isnt at all, and we would not have booked if we had known. Having said that, it was a beautiful, clean cottage with everything you could want . The hot tub was particularly welcome, as was the enclosed garden for our dog. Its in a lovely village with links to some great beaches. The cottage was absolutely spotless, a real home from home. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for dog friendly with hot tub in the coast
Matthew
Our stay at Hildas Cottage was lovely. The cottage is situated in a fantastic location just a 5min walk from the coastal path, and both Staithes and Runswick were easily reachable with the kids and dog in tow. The bus stop outside the cottage was also perfect for a day trip to Whitby! The village of Hinderwell has a fantastic butchers and the Badgers Hound pub served lovely food. The cottage itself is perfectly fine with plenty of room for a family of four. It is clean and comfortable with everything required to make our stay pleasant. Not to mention fresh eggs every day picked straight from the chicken pen A couple of minor criticisms are that, the decor generally appears to be dated and tired, especially when compared to the other cottages in the complex, however we knew this when booking so cant really complain. There is also a lack of clothes storage, especially in the second bedroom which had no wardrobe for hanging any of our teenagers clothes. The largest disappointment however related to the hot tub which was one of the main reasons we booked this specific cottage, which was not cleaned during our 7 day stay. This meant that after 45 days the water was simply not safe for us to use. We did raise this with Debbie who added some additional chemicals, however this had little effect and meant we weren't able to use the tub for the last 2 days of our stay. When we've stayed at other lodgescottages with a hot tub it has been cleaned on a daily basis, something I would suggest needs to be taken on board at St Hilda's?? All in all a pleasant stay, and Debbie who looked after us was truly pleasant and lovely. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the area, however truth be told, we will probably try somewhere different for our next stay.
Absolutely brilliant complex, the cottage was lovely and our daughter loved the hot tub which was clean and warm. Coastal walk literally just up the road and the local pub is amazing. You have to try the parmo's they make. Debbie was the five star element of the stay. Absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to help. We would definitely stay again
Caroline
We have just had our second visit to this property. We love it. Debbie is fantastic she makes you feel very welcome and gives lots of great recommendations for the local area. The cottage has everything you need and more. It's impeccably clean and the hot tub is amazing. The location is fantastic to visit different seaside resorts and beaches. It's amazing if you want to take a dog en closed back and some superb beaches near by that are dog friendly especially between October to May. Debbie will go above and beyond to make your stay special fresh eggs fresh flowers are just a few of the special touches she makes. Any problems you may have she sorts immediately. We will be back love this coast line . We feel relaxed after a great week.
Nicola
Loved our stay! The cottage was much larger than the photos. They dont do the house justice! The complex was impeccable. The cute Halloween touches were brilliant tooalthough the werewolf made me double take ever time I looked out of the kitchen window
Having found the cottage thinking it would be set on its own its actually part of a holiday complex of other accommodation. The setting is lovely though and the cottage itself very clean and spacious. Really comfortable bed and the hot tub, even in October was a pleasure to use. A lovely coastal walk from the base to both Staithes and Runswick Bay, and The Badger Hounds on the high street do lovely food. Will definitely look to return if holidaying in the area in the future.
This is a fantastic property, the bed in the main bedroom is so comfortable. The hot tub is perfect for unwinding in. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is provided. Debbie on site is a perfect hostess and can provide information for restaurants, pubs & places to visit, she's a real asset to St Hilda's.
Sharon
Fabulous stay at St Hilda's Cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and furnished with good quality furniture, kitchen was well stocked with plenty of good quality utensils and crockery, the power shower in the bathroom was lovely and the beds where very comfortable! We appreciated the hot tub in the back garden and little courtyard in front of the cottage was ideal for evening drinks! We where made to feel very welcome by Debbie the manager and her team Kerry and Amy, nothing was too much trouble. Our young pup was welcomed too and she had plenty of space to play and run around in on the complex. We'd reccomended St Hilda's complex as a great place to stay and would like to return in the future.
Robert
24 hours after arrival before got tub hot. ..on web site detached cottage but actually end of terrace would not have booked if known...cooker filthy .no not water in bath only warm had to boil kettle several times to top it up .. And to top it off when seated in the back garden ,rats appeared from under the decking hence left before end of holiday ...very disappointing..if anyone takes any notice of these facts i hope a partial refund is offered on my 950 holiday
