Copper Coin Reviews

Copper Coin is a stunning property with lots of space and very comfortable. The only slight issue we had was finding the very hidden cutlery drawer but a couple of phone calls sorted that out. We highly recommend both this property and the surrounding area. A fabulous spot to base our first trip to the Peaks and we will be back to explore more.
Maureen
Copper Coin is lovely, clean and well maintained with a relaxing, modern and spacious interior, The kitchen is well fitted with modern appliances and the wine chiller was much appreciated, as was the large hot tub which was very clean and added a touch of luxury after a day of walking and sightseeing. Highlights of our visit were the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Pot House Hamlet and the Secret Italian Restaurant. A small Sainsbury's and a local pub are both within walking distance and the views from the property are lovely too. Communication with the owner was easy and she was very helpful.
Beautiful accomadation! Spacious well kept garden, kids loved every second and didn't want to go home!
Copper Coin was a lovely property, it is very spacious and modern. The whole property was very clean. The surrounding area is very nice and quiet. Anyone with mobility issues would struggle to get out of the lounge seating, it was very low, although there is another sofa nearby. There should be some information on what to put in each bin, I had to google it to find out. Overall it's a lovely property and I would recommend it.
Kathryn
The accommodation was perfect and we throughly enjoyed our stay. The only minor faults I could find were 1. The furniture in the lounge area was very low and deep, which made it difficult for our 2 elderly people to use. 2. A hand rail and fold down seat would have been useful in the walk in shower. But apart from that, we found the accommodation perfect and the standard of cleanliness was excellent.
We were thrilled with the beautiful house. The light and garden were fantastic. Everything we needed was there. We saved it, so if we ever visit our daughter again, we'll try to book it again. Thank you so much for using it.
The bungalow was beyond our expectations, beautifully furnished ,spacious inside & out & really very comfortable for our 5 adult group. Overall super place. Sincerely John Turner.

An absolute bliss of a holiday. We loved every second of our stay. The place was incredibly clean and has amazing features. The large garden was a delight for the parents and kids alike. Would definitely want to come again.
An absolutely fantastic place to stay. 55. The house is so spacious. Huge garden and a great hot tub. Great kitchen facilities and loads of tellies! High quality furniture and fittings. Our only suggestions for improvement would be Better outside furniture a few loungers would be great. A mirror near the sink in the main bathroom for shaving. There is a mirror above the sink in the small bathroom but the tiny sink and fixed position tap make it awkward to lather up. Bathrooms showers could do with a deep clean and the toilet brushes need bleached replaced. These are all really minor points and we would not hesitate to book it again. Its a fantastic place to stay.
Sheila
Fantastic property, comfortable, well maintained and well equipped. In a very quiet area, but close to many visitor attractions and the motorway network. Our grandchildren loved the hot tub! We would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the area.
Nicola
Simply the best property we ever stayed in. Everything impeccable, modern, comfortable, clean, convenient. We loved the renovations that the owners have put in place, it's a truly stunning house. Convenient to Barnsley with everything you need nearby. Lovely places to walk all around. Cannot recommend enough!
Beatrice
The house was hot who is good for winter no summer time. The house needs airconditioned.

Absolutely fabulous! Loved our stay it was brilliant,
What a lovely place to stay! Easy to get out on visits from with a car. Lovely front view and quiet location. We were a family of four there for a week and it worked brilliantly for us. Note the nearby waterpark with all its slides was only available at weekend out of season do check their website. Photos and description of property are accurate except the back garden which has been UPGRADED with a new lawn and a path leading to the hot tub which is now undercover. Our kids, 7 & 11, loved it here. One issue with a faulty light during the stay Katie was very quick to resolve. One suggestion for future improvement would be to include extra towels for the hot tub and an airer to increase drying capacity sorry if we missed it!. We had a hot week so no issue drying stuff outside for us. Thank you so much for offering a lovely peaceful space to hire.
Excellent stay at copper coin brilliant position everything to visit was only a short drive away. Communication also excellent when we had a hiccup with the hot water sorted very quickly . Would definitely recommend this property we loved staying there with our children.
We stayed a week over Christmas along with our adult sons and their partners. We chose Copper Coin as it was an equal distance for us all to travel. We found the bungalow spacious, clean, modern, decorated for the season and comfortable. Nice to be able to access the public footpath just across the road, and enjoy the great outdoors. Had the luxury of a couple of dips in the hot tub. The large fridge freezer meant we could house all the festive food supplies, and between the oven, hob, microwave and air fryer cooked a traditional Xmas dinner for us all. Everyone enjoyed their festive stay, so thankyou.

The 2ndyear we have stayed at copper coin had a fantastic stay we will be back
Had a lovely time, throughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful house ideally situated, lots to do in the surrounding area.
Lauren
Lovely property. Very clean and spacious. Comfy beds. Great hot tub. Our only complaint is that there was no way of making fresh coffee no machine or cafetiere, there were not enough wine glasses for the five of us although there were flutes and there wasn't much cutlery as there was only one forkknife per person. Not major issues but a better equipped kitchen would have improved our stay. Also, just a suggestion, but the island is designed to have bar stools at it. These would help make the kitchen area a more social space when cookingcleaning up.
Graham
The Copper Coin is a wonderful place to stay. It is a very spacious comfortable place. It has everything you need and all appliances are top quality. The owner is a lovely lady and very approachable. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
Nicola
Really lovely well appointed home. The whole experience was positive .
The property was spotless and it had the wow factor. The living area was bright, with lots of natural light and three separate seating areas. It felt very relaxing to be there with tasteful decor and comfortable chairs. Two of the bedrooms were very spacious and the third was okay but it had its own wardrobe. For the two larger rooms, hanging space was in the hallway which wasn't always practical. All the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen is big with loads of mainly empty cupboards and a decent fridgefreezer. For some reason, the microwave was in the utility room. There were no coffee making facilities but there was a kettle and a toaster. The garden is not overlooked, is quite well maintained though I'm not sure I liked the plastic flowers in the plant pots as much and it was very pleasant to sit in. The location is good on a quite road on the edge of Gawber with a view over fields and the M1 in the distance. There are a number of local attractions within 20 minutes of the property but it was so nice inside, there was no pressure to be out and about every day.
Graham
The Copper Coin is a very clean and modern cottage with everything that is required for a relaxing stay. The prosecco and chocolates was a very nice welcome gift, thank you. We will definately be booking again.
A lovely little haven.
The facilities and attention to detail on the property is top notch. Absolutely loved the stay.
Stephen
Absolutely beautiful home, wonderful facilities, gorgeous garden. We will hopefully be back again in the future

We stayed over Christmas week, we really did have the best time during our stay! ! Copper coin had everything we could possibly need and it is furnished to a very high standard. It was very clean. The folder with local recommendations was very handy too. We didn't venture far during our stay, but we were not far from a coop at the end of the road and a park down the bottom of one of the side streets. There was plenty of space for our family of 6, whether we wanted to be all together or making use of all the different areas of the house! Our two year old loved to get comfy on the fluffy rugs!! There are plenty of tvs and great WiFi signal which was handy with our two teenagers and ten year old! The garden is huge and the covered hot tub was a lovely treat too! The bedrooms are spacious and have ample storage space. We have already booked Copper Coin again in the summer and we can't wait, we are looking forward to being able to enjoy the outside space, fingers crossed for a bit of sun. A huge thank you to the lovely hosts, they thought of everything, even thought about putting some Christmas decorations up for us. You have a beautiful holiday home to be proud of, we really did have the best week. Thank you!
What a beautiful stay this was! I will forever recommend to everyone I know! The property is beautiful and clean and smells amazing. One thing I would say, maybe an addition to the amenities to consider definitely not a complaint would be creating profiles for streaming sites so that we dont have to log in and then log back out when were done. But honestly it was perfect and Ill be coming back next year!
