Elgar House Reviews

Emma Clarke
The house had such a lovely boho vibe, really unique and inviting. It was spotless and the furniture felt super plush. The beds were so comfy, perfect for big groups to hang out and create memories. Would definitely stay again!
Emma
We stayed at this place recently and honestly, it was fantastic. The house looked stunning, like a proper show homeand they'd really thought of everything. It was so cleanand there were even supplies in the cupboards which was a nice touch. Plenty of pots and pans too, which was a relief since we'd brought some of our own just in case! The hosts were super friendlyand we loved the naughty corner - my husband spent more time there than the kids! Highly recommend for anyone wanting lovely walks, streamsand parks nearby.

Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 20 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 23 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 28 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
