Lake Farm Cottage Reviews

Lovely cottage, ideal for s short getaway
Excellent cottage and location. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable.
A delightful cottage in a peaceful location. Cosy and comfortable. The hot tub was a bonus as was in our case there being an electric charger for our car. Joe and Charlotte made us feel very welcome. One or two little extras would be helpful, hook on the door in the bathroom for robes and maybe a teapot and a milk jug for the kitchen, otherwise everything was perfect. A most enjoyable stay. Thank you Charlotte for the welcome pack. We hope to visit again.
This was a lovely little cottage which is nicely furnished and very cosy inside with underfloor heating. The owners are close by and very helpful and attentive. The location is stunning, with lots of walks into the remote countryside, and the nearby lake is stunning. The hot tub was very handy and nice and relaxing perfect after a long walk
An outstanding cottage, perfect for a getaway for a couple or, as I did, on your own. Everything is very well done and in great condition, with beautiful decor and in a very relaxing setting. Highlights are many, but to pick out just some I'd say the bed is huge and comfort, the wet room bathroom great, hot tub is fabulous and the living room and kitchen really well done. Plenty of good quality cutlery and crockery too. The finish and attention to detail all round is superb. And the owners are great friendly, helpful and discrete. It was a pleasure to meet them when I arrived. In the property and when you've booked they provide lots of helpful info to make the stay really enjoyable. The area is a beautiful one, with lots to see and do within very short distance. Fountains Abbey, Masham, Ripon are on the doorstep and it's very easy to find great stuff to see and do. If you want a relaxing getaway in a very cozy and well put together property then don't hesitate to book!
Trevor
Absolutely lovely cottage, spacious and lovely inside. Beautiful scenery outside the cottage very quiet and tranquil, added bonus having the hot tub and a gift pack. Would definitely recommend this property for a holiday.
Peace perfect peace! !
This is our third time at this lovely cottage. In beautiful Nidderdale area of Yorkshire Dales. Cottage and hot tub were great as always and we had a lovely relaxing week & Charlotte & Joe are great hosts. We will be back.
Nichola
Perfect holiday cottage with everything you could need set in a peaceful location. The large double bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed. There is seating at the front of the property and at the back as well as a hot tub. An EV charging point is also provided.
Florence
We had a lovely week here, the cottage is cosy & comfortable. Jo & Charlotte were there for anything we needed. We were looking for somewhere to chill out & this was an ideal place. Lovely views & peaceful. Spacious hot tub to unwind in. Nice places to eat out near by. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a relaxing break.
Beautiful well thought out property, however if your walkers like us drying boots, clothing, waterproof s was very difficult, with only one towel rail that wasn't at our control. There is a dryer but boots and waterproof s could not be dried in it . Some hooks on the back of the doors to put towels and dressing gowns would be useful. Would i return again, yes but probably more prepared n my behalf more walking shoes and clothes that could go in the dryer. Loved the two friendly chickens that visited daily to say hello and grab a snack.
Can't complain about anything even the bullocks and hens provided entertainment. Met Joe more than Charlotte and he was extremely pleasant. The location is ideal for a number of places to visit. We would especially recommend Newby Hall and Fountains Abbey. Thank you
Sharon
A lovely week in a lovely cottage. Joe and Charlotte made us feel very welcome and the treats left were greatly enjoyed. The hot tub was an added bonus and if you want somewhere to stay that is quiet and peaceful, then this should be your first choice!

A lovely weekend away enjoying the scenery and peace of the Yorkshire dales! Also a lovely trip to Harrogate for Bettys afternoon tea was a real treat! A stunning, clean and homely cottage with a lovely hot tub as an added bonus. Would definitely visit again!
A fabulous break in a lovely cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the stylish Lake Farm Cottage, fabulous inside and out. The hot tub was a bonus after a day out walking. The surrounding area is so pretty and peaceful, we felt very relaxed. We were delighted to witness an amazing sunrise one morning from the bedroom window. It's also as a great place to view the stars as it's a 'dark skies' area. Thank you for supplying robes for when using hot tub and the welcome pack of biscuits. Everyone must visit Eavestone Lake, a circular walk from the doorstep, hidden but worth the visit!
Absolutely amazing holiday cottage also Charlotte & Joe were such a pleasure to meet! Lake Farm Cottage is finished to an exceptional standard, loaded with facilities including an amazing hot tub and so warm and cosy! Immediate area is lovely with cows, chicken, family dogs and even peacocks coming to greet us. Looking further afield, Lake Farm is perfectly placed to explore Ripon, Pateley Bridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough, York & many other places we certainly dd! I wouldn't just strongly recommend this property, I sincerely hope to return in the not too distant future!
Cosy and comfortable cottage that was exactly as we hoped for. Great set up and great location. Small property but has everything you could need for a great get away for two people. Quiet and peaceful with beautiful walks on the door step. Lots to see and do short car trips away. Thoughtful Welcome Pack. Owners friendly and approachable. Ample parking safely off the road.
Christine
Hosts were very helpful and friendly. The cottage had everything for a homely feel. Very peaceful location. The hot tub was a bonus.
Lovely little cottage surrounded by natural beauty and close to a lake. It was very good stay and specially in the hot tub. Kitchen needs some love in terms of cleaning and a back door from room to the hot tub would be fantastic so the guest can enjoy relaxing time without having to walk around. Owners are very welcome. There are loads to do nearby. Enough parking for two cars. Cottage is really nice. Would love to go back there again.
We are hoping to come back but would love a couple of reading lamps in the kitchensitting room plus a hook on the back of the bathroom door. The owners have kindly already supplied a cafetire!

Eileen
Great location for a quiet relaxing holiday with lots to see and do close by. Some may be daunted by the short single track road just before the cottage but during our week we never met another vehicle. The lovely hosts stay close by ..friendly and helpful but not imposing
Mikael
We had a truly wonderful stay! The cottage is super cozy, warm and practical. The hot tub is brilliant really enjoyed bathing at dusk, with bats flying overhead and the sound of owls. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of nowhere but close to attractions. We enjoyed Ripon and Harrogate, as well as Brimham Rocks and Malham Cove. There's a lovely walk from the cottage to a lake nearby. Communication with the owners was excellent. We had a fantastic relaxing holiday!
Very nice cottage. Really quiet and relaxing. The cottage has everything you need. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and introduced us to their dogs & chickens. We had a great time. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Would highly recommend if youre wanting to get away for some peace & relaxation.

What a fab little place. Perfect to just kick back and relax. The cottage has everything you need. The hosts were warm and welcoming. Even introduced us to their cows. We had a great time. Thanks for a great say. Would highly recommend if your wanting some peace and relaxation.
Wow, what a find. A little remote but an excellent cottage. Loads of space for a couple. Great facilities and comfortable. Little extras like food in the fridge and valentines chocolate on the table were very appreciated. Jacuzzi was a great way to spend some relaxing time. Nice sunset view. Well done.
Amanda
Wedding anniversary is 11th Feb, husbands birthday 12th Feb, my birthday 13th Feb then valentines day on the 14th so a lot to celebrate. Arrived on the 11th Feb everything okay, enjoyed the hot tub on the evening. Went for a walk on the 12th got back to the cottage was getting changed to go in the hot tub, heard a tractor and Joe was muck spreading next to the hot tub which as you can imagine absolutely stunk of cow manure. This is completely unacceptable when you have paid nearly 500 pound for 3 nights and you can't use the hot tub. What should of been such a special occasion for us was ruined completely. Will certainly not be going back.
Judith
Lovely cottage warm and cosy on a windy weekend in January. Beautiful walks and local pubs were great for dining.
Roisin
Lake Farm Cottage was absolutely perfect, we cant thank the owners enough for such a lovely place to spend our New Years. The area was idyllic so quiet and relaxing, and we feel feel so refreshed after a few days in the cottage and the hot tub!. We wouldnt hesitate to come back in summer to enjoy the garden more.
Charlotte
Enjoyed our stay we would definitely recommend this cottage
Sabina
The cottage was lovely it was clear that some thought and care had been put into it. It wasn't perfect the shower drained very slowly, and it wasn't possible to set the water flow higher than Eco without flooding the bathroom this could probably be fixed of course, but it did detract from an otherwise small, but very nice cottage. The location was very quiet and very beautiful, and several shy cows, chickens and a horse occupied the fields around the cottage. The owner helped us out when we arrived as the lack of mobile reception meant we couldn't look up the key code! There was parking for two cars and the cottage was set in its own lovely plot. If the shower was fixed, we would definitely recommend and stay again ourselves.
Really enjoyable week. Perhaaps the hot tub should be rather hotter only felt warm. Another mirror would be useful. Thisis only nitpicking, a great cottage in a lovely situation. Host very friendly and helpful.
We had a fabulous week. This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning part of the world. Charlotte and Joe were very welcoming and the extra touch of the welcome goodies was very thoughtful. Would highly recommend and visit again.
The property and location were perfect. The views were wonderful and it was lovely to wake up in such a remote, private, tranquil and peaceful place. The Hot Tub was also fantastic. We did need a double socket so we could use our Amazon stick on the TV, Joe facilitated this on our first evening even though we were happy to wait until the next day. We will definitely make a return trip to this fantastic holiday let. Mark and Janice
