About Oystercatcher

Escape with your loved ones at this delightful semi-detached bungalow just 2 miles outside the lively coastal town of Scarborough. Sleeping four people across two cosy bedrooms, this charming retreat is the ideal hideaway for small families or groups of friends who long to experience a beautiful blend of coastal and countryside serenity.

During the day, wander around the lovely Peasholm Park or explore the historic ruins of Scarborough Castle. In the evening, come home to dine alfresco in the cottage’s pretty patio while taking in magnificent views of the sea and headland.

Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming lounge with wonderful seaside views through the patio doors. Take a moment to make yourself at home before heading to the sleek kitchen to prepare a delicious meal for your loved ones.

Gather everyone around the dining table or head outside to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the patio. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or head back to the lounge and relax in front of the TV.

At the end of the day, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from, each with a comfy double bed. Spread a blanket on the golden sand at Cayton Bay Beach (2.5 miles), or rent a surfboard or stand-up paddleboard and hit the waves.

Alternatively, take a 7-mile trip to Filey to take some photos of Filey Brigg – a dramatic rocky peninsula that extends out into the sea and provides some stunning views of the coastline. While you’re there, pop into the Filey Museum to learn all about the history of the local area.

Lovely clean comfy place. Views fantastic and lady next door so helpfull. So peaceful and Lovely people on site. In good spot to commute to Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington and other places. Would recommend for a relaxing peaceful holiday. Lots of walks for those that are able and buses for those that aren't.

Oystercatcher is a clean, comfortable cottage in a peaceful location, with lovely views over the bay.
Jane
Lovely location, bungalow comfortable.

This was our 6th visit .We love the peace and quiet, being able to just sit and relax. It is always spotlessly clean and a really comfy bed. It is great to have the option of a bath or shower too. It is ideally situated for lots of places along the coast to visit. It is also nice to return to look out to sea and watch the birds around too.
Tim
Comfortable and convenient for exploring the local area. Pleasantly quiet with a lovely view. Make sure your tech. has its own mobile data access.

Lovely bungalow ,bed comfortable ,we enjoyed the accommodation and all in it , the only thing , I am only 5ft and the cubards I the kitchen were very high,I struggled to reach anything out of them. I would have liked a step .

The bungalow lovely and clean and spacious. Fantastic view of the sea. Great base for exploring the surrounding area. Christine was amazing on hand to help when any issues arises. Very friendly and welcoming.
Paul
What a lovely place to stay, it is situated on a private estate with no passing traffic or loud noises. It was spotlessly clean with everything you need. Please note there is no wifi which we didn't see as a problem . The shower is over the bath which is not the easiest thing to get in and out of so could be tricky for those who are less agile. It was near lots of attractions, decent pubs offering reasonably priced food, just over a mile away is a lovely sandy beach with Victorian gardens , an adventure playground and a cafe ( this is not in central Scarborough but just outside ). We had a wonderful week would highly recommend this cottage. Lovely sea views from both inside and out, easy access to the Cleveland Way.
Pauline

We have stayed at Knipe Point 7 times now, 4 times at Oystercatcher. We love it there, it's so peaceful and the Seaview is beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is always beautifully clean and we always feel at home and relaxed there.
Jane
Lovely comfy cosy house in a stunning and convenient location. we will be back as soon as there is a gap. !!
Amy
A lovely cosy property that has a wonderful view and is a good base if you want to see the coast or travel further inland. The owner was really friendly and lives only next door so is to hand if you need anything.
