About Silver Birch Lodge

Steal away for a romantic break for two in this eco-friendly log cabin tucked on the edge of the North York Moors. One of two detached lodges on the owner’s small farm, this cosy bolthole occupies a secluded spot, overlooking a paddock of grazing horses.

Surrounded by open countryside on the outskirts of Middleton, it’s perfect for couples that love spending time in the great outdoors. Crafted to an extremely high standard with quality fixtures and fittings, you’ll feel at home as soon as you step inside.

Laid out over a single storey with a ramp leading to the front door, this property welcomes adults only, plus one furry friend. The main living area is spacious and open-plan.

Rustle up meals in the contemporary fitted kitchen, then enjoy a romantic meal on the dining table or under the covered decking outside. Later, snuggle on the large corner sofa and gaze out the window or relax watching your favourite film; this can be converted into a sofa bed for additional guests.

At night-time, get cosy under the covers in the king-size bedroom, before a rejuvenating morning shower in the neighbouring wet room. Underfloor heating and a wood burner ensure the cabin is cosy year-round.

With a pub, shop and cafe in the village, Middleton offers a peaceful base with the market town of Pickering just 2 miles away. In addition to a weekly market and selection of shops and eateries, there’s plenty of history including a 13th-century castle, medieval church and frescoes, and a heritage steam railway that runs all the way to Whitby during the summer months.

You’re spoilt for choice for walking, cycling and horseback riding with Dalby Forest and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within 16.5 miles.

Silver Birch Lodge Reviews

Debra
Lovely clean Lodge, good quality furniture, everything you need. Read many reviews about how friendly the hosts were, didn't see anything of them apart when we had to tell them about the wasps nest on entering the slope, but they already new about it and didn't warn us and when their dog attacked ours (our dog was ona lead next to me and their dog come from no where, she did apologise
Alison
The cottage is in a beautiful location within easy reach of locations such as Pickering in one direction, the Bird of Prey centre in the other. The local dog friendly pub, The Middleton Arms, is a few hundred yards away, with great food and friendly staff. Being self catering, it's good to know the local Spar has long opening hours just a few minutes drive away. Really, everything you could want at excellent prices.
