After adventurous days roaming picturesque dales and exploring natural wonders, return here to rest and recharge in the exquisite spa and enjoy sociable evenings in the spacious living areas. Set on the ground floor of a Grade II-listed building, this single-storey apartment is brimming with character and charm.

Traditional features such as wood panelling, slate floors, wooden doors and an ornate fireplace are expertly blended with period-style furnishings, original artworks and cosy cushions for a warm, cosy vibe. A large living area with an open fire, an assortment of sofas and a Smart TV invites relaxation, while the light-filled conservatory containing comfy seating along with a family dining table sets the scene for sociable evenings.

There’s a galley-style kitchen equipped for preparing meals for a crowd, while patio doors open to the garden, which has a hot tub beneath the stars along with a private spa featuring a sauna, cold plunge and a Himalayan salt wall, plus an outdoor dining area. Separated from the living areas by a few internal steps, the bedrooms are havens of relaxation.

Choose between two king-size bedrooms, one with an additional sofa bed for alternative sleeping arrangements, or a cosy double, which share use of a family bathroom and a sleek wet room. On-street parking and car parks are available nearby.

With its fine Norman castle, historic buildings, cobbled streets, and an assortment of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, Richmond provides a fantastic base. Set off for a riverside walk along the banks of the Swale or hop in your car to explore the delights of the Yorkshire Dales.

Spa On The Green Reviews

Phil
Beautiful property in a an excellent location - spa facilities were fantastic.
Gail
A comfortable cottage at the bottom of a hill if you find walking difficult this is not the cottage for you. Hot tub is a great addition. Plenty of space to get comfy in.
Pamela
We enjoyed our stay at the Spa on the Green. It has 2 comfortable double rooms and 1 very small double which is a squash for 2 adults therefore we didnâ??t have a good sleep - hence the acceptable score for comfort. The hot tub, plunge bucket and sauna are a great addition. The sauna room is very comfortable and the sauna heats up very quick. The location is great if youâ??re fit and into walking. Thereâ??s some lovely walks on the door step. Unfortunately one of our party could not manage the very steep banks - which you have to climb if youâ??re eating out or having a drink - therefore they had to use a taxi every time we went out. Youâ??ll see a defibrillator every few hundred yards! If youâ??re reasonably fit and youâ??re a party of 5 Iâ??d recommend.
Vicky
What a beautiful cottage. Facilities were great, the courtyard is a little sun trap and the hot tub and sauna were a fab treat. Even the plunge bucket wasnâ??t bad for a refresh
Sarah
The property was in a great location to explore and for great walks. The cleanliness was excellent and beautifully decorated. Would highly recommend. The hosts were great.
Susan
Really comfortable cottage in a great location close to the town. Fabulously decorated and the spa facilities were a great addition to have.

Big Sheep - EX39 5AP
about 10 Miles
This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.
Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT
about 16 Miles
Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.
Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY
about 20 Miles
This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.  Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit.  The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
