Sunnyvale House Reviews

The inside was exactly as described, facilities as listed and very clean. Our family loved the house and really enjoyed their stay there

Sunnyvale House is a lovely property for a large group of people. Easy access to all Whitby has to offer. Could just do with a little TLC in some area. We all had a lovely weekend Thank you
Very good house, well suited for lots of people
A well maintained, well equipped house that felt cosy and welcoming. We have a family get together and everybody agreed that this was one of the best houses that we have stayed in. I would recommend this property to anybody wanting to host a family gathering.

Lovely holiday home . Ideal for a multigenerational family get together great facilities for the oldest to the youngest member . Everything we needed for our week was available.
The house was very well appointed and had plenty enough facilities for our large party of 14 and one dog. Couple of minor comments . The fridge smelt quite musty. We put lemon in to freshen it up. 1st floor bedroom not ensuite the window did not open which in the hot weather was not the best. Overall we all had a great holiday so much so that I was looking to book again for the May half term next year but see that there has been a hefty increase in the cost for a weeks stay. 1,600 more. Not quite sure how this is justified when its the same time of year that we would be looking to visit. A real shame
Sunnyvale House is a lovely place to stay. Its in the centre of Whitby, very close to all the attractions. We were a large family group and it was perfect for us. It is very comfortable and well equipped. Beautifully decorated and very homely. The owners could not have been more helpful and accommodating. I would happily stay here again.

The Rotunda is the Museum of Coastal Heritage and Geology, opened in 1829 and among the world's first purpose-built museums. It was built to a design suggested by William Smith, the "Father of English Geology", and looks out over Scarborough's South Bay. Inside, a Georgian gallery has a frieze of the local coastline's geology, drawn by Smith's nephew John Phillips.

Tip: There's no car park on site, so use the nearby South Bay underground car park or Palm Court multi-storey. Check which galleries are open, as the West Wing is closed.
