Kingsknowe Cottage Reviews

Emma
We had a really lovely stay near Galashiels. The house was super cosy and spacious enough for our family and dog, which was great. The hot tub was a real treat after a day out exploring. Plus, the welcome pack was a thoughtful touch. Perfect base for visiting Edinburgh too - we’d definitely come back!
Alex
We really enjoyed our stay here! The hot tub was fantastic after a long day exploring. The local shops and pubs are about a 25-minute walk, which was quite nice actually.

Honestly, the photos didn’t really show how lovely this place is. We stayed in a great spot with a nice vibeand we really enjoyed our time there. The only hiccups were with the shower-couldn’t get it to run with just one head or adjust the temperature properly, but it wasn’t a big deal. The dishwasher was a bit stubborn too; we filled it with salt and rinse aid, but it still refused to work, even after the lights said they were empty. Still, these little issues didn’t stop us from wanting to come back. We’d definitely stay again!
Emma
The cottage was perfect for our family break - spotless, well-keptand really comfy overall. Loved it!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kingsknowe! The location was perfect for exploring nearby spots like Melrose and Galashiels, with plenty of options for eating and shopping. The house itself was spotless and spacious, with comfy sofas and well-equipped spaces. The hot tub was a hit, especially since it was covered and quite large. The only thing to mention is that it's close to a main road, which might bother some, but it didn’t bother us at all. Overall, a lovely break!

We had a fantastic weekend at this lovely house! The place was super well equipped, really feels brand newand we appreciated the thoughtful touches like bread, Proseccoand dog treats on arrival. The hot tub was a real highlight-so private and relaxing, with plenty of towels and robes. The lighting and Bluetooth setup added a nice vibe. Everything was spotlessand there are some gorgeous walks nearby-Melrose, Harestanesand Jedburgh are definitely worth exploring. We’d love to come back!

Rachel
We had a really lovely stay here. The place is super well-equipped, definitely the best self-catering place we've been toand kept to a high standard. The welcome pack was generousand they really thought about our dog, which was lovely. We loved chilling in the huge hot tub after a day out. The info pack about dog-friendly spots nearby was a big help. Just a heads up, it's not a cottage but a detached house in a modern estate. Still, we’d come back!
Sarah
The house is beautifully kept and super cosy; we’d definitely love to return and will tell friends about it!
Amelia
Cozy, festive cottage with lovely decorations and all essentials provided.

This place is really lovely, we’ve stayed a few times now. Everything’s super clean and well stocked. It’s easy to reach without a car, yet it’s tucked away enough to be peaceful. Loved the electric blanket too!

We had a really pleasant stay at this spot! The location is perfect, close enough to explore the countryside but still handy for local amenities just five minutes away. The little touches like teacakes and biscuits made it feel extra special. Definitely a place we'd come back to. Highly recommend!
Emma
The mattress was quite clean, though it did sag slightly in the middle. Not bad!
Simon
