The charming, traditional village of Milford on Sea boasts stunning sea views towards Christchurch Harbour and across to the Isle of Wight, as well as enchanting cliff-top walks and lovely beaches.

Skim stones out to sea at the shingle Hordle Cliff Beach (1.5 miles), which is lined with colourful beach huts and benefits from breathtaking views across the Solent. Located at the seaward end of Hurst Spit, with spectacular views and plenty of open spaces for children to explore, Hurst Castle, a mile away, is a must-see for history lovers.

Nature lovers can head to neighbouring Keyhaven (1 mile) to find plenty of bird watching opportunities in Keyhaven Nature Reserve at the Keyhaven Marshes, 1.5 miles away. Through the welcoming entrance hallway, follow the warmth of the roaring wood burner into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to relax with loved ones at the end of a busy day’s adventure.

Fort Victoria - PO41 0RR

Fort Victoria is many attractions in one convenient location. What once was a historically important fort is now home to a Marine Aquarium, a Model Railway, a Sea Bed Archaeology Exhibition and a Planetarium. The Country Park also offers delightful woodland walks. Countryside Rangers are on hand to give guided walks of the seashore and the woodland. Admission to the park is free of charge but each of the attractions incur a small charge.
Play & Farm Park - PO31 8PE

Described as the Isle of Wight's multi activity and play Farm park this attraction will really appeal to families looking for a fun day out.  Recently improvements have been made to enlarge the straw fun play barn and this is now the biggest indoor play space on the island.  This farm is now split into separate attractions, the play barns and petting farm which include rides on tractors and trailors and the tractor driving experience. Open all year this place is also excellent value for money.
Robin Hill Country Adventure Park - PO30 2NU

This is an award winning attraction on the isle of wight with so much to see and do.  From thrilling rides for the whole family to challenging play for younger kids they have thought of everything.  One of the highlights is the Falconry where you can see some of the most breathtaking displays in the UK.  You can also get a taste of nature and history here from red squirrels to romans.  The great value freedon tickets are well worth the money allowing you to return to the park as often as you like for 7 days.

Royal Victoria Country Park is highly recommended for a day out in the summer and has lots of things for children to do. There are woodland trails to explore with free maps and guides available. There are also several play areas, one for older children, one for the little ones and one for disabled children so no one is left out of the fun. Within the grounds there is also a heritage site, a tea room and a formal garden.

Rides include the family friendly Toboggan Run and Colossus Swinging Galleon but one of the parks most popular attractions is the Falconry where visitors can enjoy some of the finest flying displays in the UK. The park also has a fantastic nature area where Red squirrel safaris are just one of the attractions.

This is a really fun and memorable attraction which is suitable for day trips or short breaks.  You can buy your tickets online which will help you beat the queues especially in school holidays as well as save money.  With a whole host of attractions and thrilling rides there might not be enough time in the day!  Exciting rides include the Edge and The Cobra.  More family friendly rides for younger children include the Magic Carpet Ride and the Flying Frog.  We are sure the whole family will have fun at Paultons so check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs.

Paultons Family Theme Park has recently been greatly improved to include many new attractions for younger visitors. The brand new Peppa Pig World features 7 amazing new rides and an Indoor Play Area to keep the little ones amused for hours. Of course those looking for more adrenaline boosting activities will not be disappointed either as there are over 60 rides in total to try out. The mighty Edge ride and the terrifying Cobra rollercoaster are the ones to go for if white knuckle rides are your thing. Live entertainment is also on offer several times throughout the season including some amazing family shows such as "The Light Fantastic" which takes place this October.
Loch Lomond Sealife Centre - G83 8QL

The perfect place to visit on a rainy day this large Sealife Centre is currently offering 2 tickets for £15.00 when you book online. Top attractions include the amazing shark tunnel, the rock pools and the otter enclosure. This year Loch Lomond Sealife Centre is also home to Cammy - the only Giant Sea Turtle in Scotland! The centre also offers visitors an educational experience with talks and hands on events taking place daily.

Younger children will also love the Zoolittle Farm area where they can meet some of the zoos more affectionate residents and even get to hold them.  At only £26.00 for a family of 4 the Zoo is excellent value for money too.

Blue Reef Aquarium is an award winning attraction which takes visitors on an under water journey through the British Isles, the Mediterranean to a stunning Coral Reef. The centre has over 40 different displays with everything from Sharks to Stingrays there to see. A walk through the amazing underwater tunnel is the real highlight with hundreds of colourful fish to spot. Another favourite attraction is the adorable family of Otters who have a fantastic outdoor enclosure with breathtaking sea views. A recent addition to the site is the Blue Reef Beach Club & Splash Play - A wet play zone for children which is a big hit in the summer.

Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.
