This spacious coastal retreat in the heart of Southsea is wonderful for memorable group trips. It’s been beautifully refurbished to boutique hotel standards, combining contemporary style with space for up to 20 guests.
You’re close to the pebbled beach and historic pier (0.5 miles) plus Canoe Lake (150 metres) where youngsters will love the pedal boats, playground, zip wire and sandpit. Southsea is a walkable seaside town, full of indie shops, pubs and cafes, and you’ll be just 1 mile from the engaging D-Day Museum and Southsea Model Village.
Children can even take the helm of their own mini ship at the Miniport in Gunwharf Quays (2 miles), home to outlet shopping and family-friendly dining. Don’t miss the 170-metre Spinnaker Tower, with its glass floor, panoramic views and optional afternoon tea (and abseiling!).
The hovercraft at Southsea Hoverport (1.5 miles) whisks you across to the Isle of Wight in minutes. Starting with the ground floor of this three-storey home, the kitchen is kitted out with state-of-the-art appliances, including an instant boiling water tap for those must-have-now cuppas.
Before meals, guests can gather around the island and relax in the window seat, then head next door to the stunning dining room, with its statement wallpaper and oversized table. There’s also a laundry room and access to the garden from this level.
The ground floor is home to a vibrant lounge with royal blue accents, squashy sofas, a feature fireplace and Sky Q TV, as well as a state-of-the-art cinema room with a huge screen, recliners and every streaming platform you could want. You can even mix and sip pre-dinner cocktails in the stylish bar.
There are two king-size bedrooms that share a bathroom on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are five beautifully finished bedrooms, each with its own en-suite – three king-size rooms, one single, and a fun bunk room ideal for kids.
