The Hideaway Reviews

Jennifer
We really enjoyed our stay at The Hideaway. Itâ??s set on a private plot with the use of a delightful garden, to be there in warmer months must be wonderful. The decor is tasteful and comfortable and the bed is wonderful. There is everything you need in the kitchen and great farm shops and towns nearby to get supplies.
Lynda
A stylish & well appointed holiday rental in a tranquil location.
Janet

Patricia
Location pleasant and cottage very comfortable with everything we needed.
Elayne
Really nice property very comfortable and nicely furnished. Great location secluded but easy access to seaside locations. Lots of nice places to eat or kitchen has everything you need if you want to eat in. Bed is very comfortable and a nice bath. Nice little garden to chill out in with plenty of wildlife.
Val
It was exactly what was wanted, need, advertised and delivered. Thankyou!
Sarah
We absolutely loved our stay in the Hideaway. We fell in love at first sight and felt very at home. We have never slept so well, the bed was so comfortable. We enjoyed the lovely cottage garden to relax in and eating outside on sunny days. It is perfectly situated for sightseeing, we only wish we could have stayed for longer. We could rave on and on about this little gem. Thank you.
Keith
Whilst the property was clean and well presented it was very much darker inside than indicated by the photographs on the website. This necessitated having the lights on most of the time especially when sat at the dining table. The light above the table was merely ornamental and the yellow glow inadequate for anything other than eating. Unfortunately, having suffered back trouble we found the sofa very low and uncomfortable. Also having only 1 1/2 shelves in the fridge proved a challenge for a self catering holiday.
Nigel
This is a wonderfully renovated building which has been been well furnished to a high standard, the bed being particularly comfortable and well sized. A lot of thought has been put into it. There is a nice wild life garden area and always bird song, and on one evening the local fox made a fleeting appearance. The location was good for Deal and Sandwich, and the road network meant that the gardens of Great Dixter and Sissinghurst and the oysters at Whitstable were relatively easily available, although Derek Jarman's garden at Dungness was a bit more of a trek.
Brian
Comfortable, peaceful, good location and well equipped and maintained.
Sarah
We had a lovely week at the Hideaway. It was very comfortable and well equipped with a fantastic welcome pack. We loved the bed and the log burner especially. Fantastic location for exploring - there is so much to see in this area within easy reach.
Barbara

Vivien
A stylish, warm and comfortable cottage for 2 people, in a good location. We appreciated the log burner over New Year, with high winds and biting cold days! The welcome pack was a nice touch, and the bed was very comfortable.
Jim
Very comfortable and clean. Very thoughtfully furnished and equipped.
Dom
Lovely, quiet and secluded cottage. Well finished and maintained, with a homely comfortable feel. We instantly felt relaxed and the welcome pack was appreciated. The owners were very welcoming. We really enjoyed our break
Sue
A lovely quiet and relaxing place to stay.
Janet
A really well designed and equipped accommodation, that provided everything we needed. Set in a quiet leafy location with parking immediately outside. There are many interesting local places to visit with Canterbury city a short drive and Sandwich a real gem of a medieval small town within walking distance, Walmer and Deal Castles and towns and the roman fort at Richborough close by.
David
Lovely property with welcome pack and every necessary items. Peaceful and comfortable.
Theresa
Wonderful accommodation, spacious and very comfortable for 2, well equipped, great location, very peaceful, would highly recommend
