14 Faraway Fields Reviews

We had a lovely time. It was clean with lots of space. Peaceful and lovely surroundings.
Nicola
We had an absolutely brilliant stay at 14 Faraway Fields over new year. The lodge was absolutely perfect, it had everything we needed for a lovely stay and there was so much space. It was clearly a really well looked after and maintained lodge. Beds and sofas were all super comfortable. Customer service on the park has been brilliant and the ladies in the office are so helpful. So looking forward to visiting again in October.
Maxine
Lovely stay at the faraway field lodge. Very clean, modern and very comfortable. Well presented and attention to detail spot on. Added bonus of hot tub and duck pond a great added extra Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely lodge, maintained to a very high standard, the view from the decking was stunning and a little lake in front with ducks. Hot tub very relaxing, did not use dishwasher but made use of washerdryer. Long weekend break with friends and we will be rebooking

The lodge is absolutely stunning beautifully decorated, spotless, and so cozy. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, which made our evenings extra special while enjoying the peaceful views. We had such a relaxing stay and would love to return. Highly recommended!
We had a brilliant time during our stay in 14 Faraway Fields, what a beautiful lodge and a stunning location! Everything we needed was there and the cleanliness was spot on, the duck pond view in front was just perfect for our 3 year old she absolutely loved being able to see the ducks every morning. The visitor book with recommendations on places to eat and places to visit was also great and we enjoyed a takeaway from the recommended Everest Tandoori twice during our stay which certainly lived up to expectations. Thank you for the best holiday, we will certainly be back.

Absolutely beautiful lodge. Couldnt fault it.
Beautiful setting and tranquil surroundings. We stayed in 14 Faraway Fields, we arrived in the evening and the lodge was welcoming and warm. Plenty of space, comfortable beds and furnishings. The sunrise from the patio over the lake was stunning in the morning. We loved the hot tub too! We had a fantastic weekend and didnt want to leave. Will definitely come back

Our 5th stay at Southern Halt, and 14 Faraway Fields may be our favourite so far! Beautiful, clean, comfortable lodge with everything you need. Wonderul window wall looking out over a pond, the fields and then amazing sunrises on the horizon which are worth getting up early for!

This property was absolutely incredible We were blown away with all the added little details to make our stay super easy We were located in 14 faraway fields which was the perfect location over the pond with even ducks that my children loved seeing every morning. Super clean and perfect condition. Thankyou for an amazing stay, first of many and will be bringing family along next time too

Excellent property and very nicely maintained holiday park. We had a lovely time here and would definitely go back. We recommend this place for anyone looking for a great holiday
Relaxing from the beginning. Communication with CharterOak was brilliant. First place I have stayed and would actually want to return. Defo recommend.
Jaclyn
Nice lodge, well equipped, lovely location in the park, would recommend.

Very comfortable. Views stunning. Would have liked to stay longer. May I point out a few things that need attention. A couple VERY DANGEROUS pieces of wood along the gravel drive. A nasty accident waiting to happen if someone runs an open toed foot into the end of one. Also the drain in the bath does not work and the blind is about to fall off the window in one of the twin rooms. Needs better screw fixings. And from a lady about to turn 80 loved the hot tub. Friends to help me in and out. But the bathshower needs a hand rail for safe getting in and out. Would not recommend it to elderly people. The wildlife and birdsong and water was wonderful

The property was very clean and quiet. Good place for relaxation. Love the pond which has 3 little ducks which we enjoyed watching. And the hot tub is awesome. Highly recommended
We had a wonderful time. We had everything we needed for a weekend but equally had we been staying longer there was everything we needed. A perfect family safe destination and wonderful surroundings.
My fifth fantastic stay. Having the Christmas tree was a bonus great post covid addition. Genuinely love the property with the pond just outside the window. Really would request the charger for electric vehicles is fitted for greater convenience as we now own an electric car and would future proof the rental. We will come back but are struggling to find a date as the property is now so well booked understandably as it is amazing.
We have stayed twice at this lodge now and really enjoyed our stay both times. The one downer we had was the travel cot as it didn't come with a mattress and ours was the wrong size so we had to go out and get another one otherwise baby would be sleeping unsafely. Also the cot smelt bad and Imy husband thought it was a smoke smell which can put a baby at risk. But we had nowhere else for her to sleep so we had to use it. Another cot was brought to us the next morning which smelt the same. The hottub was maintained every day in the morning I think chemicals were topped up and the filter cleaned. What I really liked was that the water was completely emptied and refilled between each stay. Also the view was really lovely and Looe and Polperro were both nearby as well as a wildlife sanctuary which our little one loved. One tip I would give is don't run the water anywhere else if someone is taking a shower.
Lovely, comfortable property. Well equipped. Hot tub was perfect and hot tub team extremely helpful and friendly and very unobtrusive. Bed extremely comfortable. The site gardens are very well kept and all lodges are private so does not feel crowded. Ideal property located for relaxing break and not too far away from local amenities but you will need a car at this location. Would definitely recommend this property.

2nd time staying in this lovely cottage and we love it everything about it. Nice peaceful place , comfortable and clean cottage, definitely recommend to my friends and will be back thank you x
A great lodge! We will return.
Our third visit and as lovely as ever. We will be back. Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful lodge with all the comfort of home. Will definitely consider this lodge again, only one very small criticism the space for car parking only allowed 1 vehicle even though the lodge could accommodate 6 people.
Really enjoyed our stay, lodge was spotlessly clean & comfortable. Handy location to travel to coastal resorts & hot tub was a bonus. Would definitely recommend
Had really enjoyable stay at 14 Faraway Fields, the lodge was beautiful, everything we needed to make it a relaxing breakeven the weather was kind to us. Have stayed at Southern Halt lots of times now and every time been very pleased.
