Pentewan is a superb lodge in Portreath, Cornwall, presenting enclosed decking with a hot tub, appealing views and just a short distance from the beach and harbour by road or walk through a trail which takes around 15 minutes. Inside, an open-plan living space draws you inside, where a woodburning stove becomes the warm-hearted centre of evenings in. The kitchen, equipped with an oven, induction hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, is designed for easy self-catering, while the sitting area invites unhurried time together with the TV close to hand. Sleeping arrangements include three bedrooms, helping to create a real feeling of spaciousness. There is a double with TV and en-suite featuring a walk-in shower, basin, towel rail, and WC, a further double and a twin.

There is a double with TV and en-suite featuring a walk-in shower, basin, towel rail, and WC, a further double and a twin. A family bathroom with a bath and shower over, basin, heated towel rail, and WC serves the remaining rooms.

Step out to the enclosed decking to greet soft daylight or unwind beneath the evening sky in the hot tub, letting the peaceful views set the pace of your stay. With Gwel an Mor on-site facilities nearby and Portreath’s beach within reach, days naturally fall into a rhythm of sea air and simple pleasures.

The Rock Gardens, Caves and Nursery - TQ5 9HG

The Rock Gardens Caves and Nursery have an amazing setting in the old Palace Quarry. The gardens offer an abundance of trees, plants and floral displays including a very grand 80ft Elm Tree and a stunning Weeping Ash. The site also offers a large carp pond, a breathtaking illuminated cave and a tea room serving tasty local produce.

Look out for seasonal events too such as the Fire in the Sky event on 27th October 2010 - discount advance tickets are available for most of the events so don't forget to check out their website.  Some of the most popular thrill rides include the first Twisting Droptower in the UK called the Skyraker 001.  The Hornert Rollercoaster is also not to be missed.

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
