Seagrass Reviews

Georgina
The location is quite peacefuland there are some nice sights nearby. However, the property itself could do with some proper maintenance. The beds were really squeaky and uncomfortableand the travel cot was useless - honestly, it was awful. The high chair was filthy, with visible dirt on the floorand the kettle was full of limescale. The shower head was black with grimeand the washer & dryer didn't work properly - clothes didn't dry at all. We also only got two dishwasher tablets and a few bin liners for a whole week, which was disappointing.
Emily Carter
We loved the setting - perfect for wildlife viewing and exploring the beaches nearby. The house was cosy, beautifully decoratedand had everything we needed. Sadly, the cleaning wasn't up to scratch, which was a bit disappointing, but overall, a lovely stay in a great spot! Definitely worth a visit.
Sam
We had a lovely time despite the weather! Seagrass really is well kitted outand the rooms are surprisingly spacious. The bathrooms have decent showers, which was a bonus. We loved the upstairs mezzanine - perfect for chilling out, with some toys for the kids and books or games like Trivial Pursuit for the adults. The drying rack was super handy for towels and swimming costumes. The log burner made the place really cosy during winterand the electric radiators kept everything warm. The walk up from the main road was a bit steep but manageable, just take it slowly!
Alexandra
The place was really tidy and comfy, which made our stay enjoyable. We loved hitting the beach almost every day! Plenty of activities nearby, plus the shops and eateries were spot on.
Emma
The cottage was surprisingly cosy and well located for exploring North Devon's best spots, even if Bideford itself didn't impress us much. Overall, a decent stay!
Martyn
A well constructed and equipped holiday property in a quiet and pretty location. The walk into town takes between 10-20 minutes depending on destination, however the return can take a little longer as the short but steep hill up which the property is located can present a bit of a challenge!
Laura
This is a fabulous place to stay! The accommodation is lovely and well appointed, with great dog walks right from the cottage. The new owners since December have been incredibly helpful too. There's loads of kitchen equipment for anyone who wants to cook. The hot tub was a big hit with our teenagers. Plus, there's plenty of space for our two dogs to sniff about in the secure garden.
Lucy
What an amazing spot to discover, hidden away up a hill among the trees just on the edge of Bideford, a town that really caters for all needs! The accommodation was spotlessly clean and beautifully dressed to fit the building. The rooms were spacious, which was perfect for us four adults. The kitchen equipment was very goodand our dog was well looked after too, with a blanket and bed provided if needed. All in all, a wonderful place to stayand we will definitely recommend it and hopefully return!
James
What a lovely cottage to stay at! Everything you could possibly need is there, a true home from home. We can't wait to go back later in the year!
Brian
A lovely and comfortable place to stay. It's a great base for exploring the area and checking out the local attractions. The aspect is nice with decent, though limited, views since the trees can block some sunlight. Just a heads up, it's a bit of a trek to walk out because of the steep hill leading to and from the cottage!
Oliver
What a lovely cottage! It's clear a lot of thought has gone into it. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, which is always a plus. The location is spot on for checking out north Devon. The place was really well equipped; there wasn't a thing we needed that wasn't already there! Can't wait to come back soon.
Mark
From the moment we got to the cottage to when we left, it was just fantastic! The little touches like flowers, bubblyand chocolates on arrival were so thoughtful. We absolutely love the cottage and can't wait to come back!
