23 Valley Lodge Reviews

The place was lovely and cosy but it was very cold when we arrived in the lodge ... The place was lovely and cosy but it was very cold when we arrived in the lodge so maybe the caretaker could of put the heating on which would of made it perfect but it did warm up after a few hours, and we could of done with some instructions on the hot tub we wasnt sure if it was supposed to be left on all the time we did clean and tidy the best we could but we had no facilities to sweep floors and clean sides and cooker the surrounding complex was a bit disappointing as the swimming pools were closed for maintenance and the games room was not maned half the machines were not working and the pool table was a pound ago and half the time the balls wouldnt come down so we had no one to ask to help, The gym was open but our 16 year old grandson was not allowed to use the gym with his granddad and dad as the the owners wouldnt let him in because of his age but he would of been supervised by the adults hes a competent user as he is a well know climber in Devon region so that spoilt his week so personal I think the complex needs to put these comments into consideration when people book and expect to have the facilities offered to them Overall the lodge was good but the complex a disappointment

The lodge was lovely and very spacious. It was a little difficult to find, as the postcode was incorrect. The hot tub was lovely, there was a pub onsite, and the food was delicious

On suite bedroom and twin where great but the double bedroom only has a 34 size bed in it. My Son and Daughter in Law could not sleep in it together. They took turns on the couch. They did not get a decent nights sleep for the whole week. Hence we would not rebook that lodge again. We would return to Honicombe village again but not that lodge.

The property is lovely and very well catered with everything you need however the site could do with maintenance as it looks run down and very old. you have to book for indooroutdoor swimming AND the play park so you need to plan in advance. Swimming pool is very basic with limited activities.
Only booked for 2 days, looking for a place to take some relatives over from Australia, who wanted to fit a trip to Cornwall into their schedule. Great place ,friendly staff, and a pub on site that does food. We were really pleased we booked. The only problem and it really was the postcode on our paperwork was wrong , PL178NQ took us to a small hamlet in the middle of now wear with closed off roads. Not what you want after a long drive. Recommend this place for a great base to tour and relaxing stay. Lodge had all we needed, and was spotlessly clean.
