We had an amazing stay! The cottage was cosy, super cleanand felt really inviting. Maggie and Kevin were lovely hosts, making us feel right at home. The peaceful setting was just what we neededand the dog exercise paddock was a real bonus for our furry friend. Definitely a place we’d return to!
Emma
We loved the cosy cottage - it’s beautifully decorated and super well equipped. The peaceful spot, tucked away two miles from the main road, made it perfect for relaxing. The directions from the owner were spot on for the last part, as the country lane is quite narrow. The hot tub was a real treat! Our favourite trip was to Lynmouth and Lynton, about an hour away, definitely worth the drive. We also enjoyed walking to The New Inn, just over a mile, great food and reasonable prices. North Devon’s much quieter out of season, which we appreciated.
Emily
Honestly, we had such a lovely time here! The hosts really go above and beyond-nothing's missed. When we arrived, those scones were a lovely touch and tasted fantastic. We loved that all the cleaning products are eco-friendly, it’s a nice detail. The dog paddock was a huge bonus for us; our pup loved it! The hosts also gave us great tips on local walks, pubsand places to eat. The location is simply stunningand the cottage itself is super cosy. We’re already planning our next visit-can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing time at Wren Thatch again! The cottage is beautifully maintained and has everything we could want, including a warm welcome with a lovely cream tea on arrival. If you're heading to Rosemoor or nearby, honestly, don’t bother looking anywhere else. It’s one of the best stays we’ve ever had!

We had such a relaxing time at this charming cottage. It’s super peaceful, perfect for stargazing away from city lights. The location is great-close to several dog-friendly beaches within half an hour. The secure garden and dog paddock next door were a real bonus. The owners are nearbyand the stairgate and robes for the hot tub made everything hassle-free. Very quiet, just the birds chirping-lovely!

Really enjoyed the stay, the cottage was cosyand the garden was perfect for our dogs.
Emily
We had a lovely stay in this spacious cottage tucked away in the countryside. The outside space is great, featuring a fabulous hot tub and a private garden perfect for sunbathing! The owners live next door and are super helpful if you have any questions. It’s such a peaceful spot but be ready to navigate some narrow country lanes, as its location requires a confident driver. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliancesand it’s incredibly quiet with beautiful views over the fields and farms.
Emma
We had a lovely holiday home with plenty of character and charm. The owners were really niceand we can't fault the overall experience. The little extras, like milk, tea, eggsand homemade scones, were such a lovely touch! Having the paddock for our dog was fantastic, along with a small garden. No barbecues or fire pits allowed at the cottage for safety reasons, which wasn't a big issue, but we were a bit disappointed since the website mentioned a field and firepit, so that felt a bit misleading!
Mark
What a beautiful thatched cottage in a remote and quiet part of rural Devon! The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Both bedrooms were very spacious with ensuitesand there was the added benefit of a wet room downstairs, which was perfect for using the hot tub. We loved the private garden and having our own exercise field for the dogs to go mad before heading out to explore a really beautil part of our country. Kevin and Maggie were more than happy to let us wander around their stunning gardens.
James
We would highly recommend this cottage - it’s a stunning property with all the essentials for a great holiday! It’s in an idyllic location for relaxation and solitude yet still not too far from the beaches and other North Devon treasures. Plus, the hosts are simply amazing!

The hot tub really stood out for usand stargazing was an amazing bonus. Kevin was quick to fix a couple of little issues we had - it’s a real perk having the owner right next door.
