We loved the location - just a quick stroll to Crooklets Beach, which is perfect for dogs (though they can't be on the main beach between 10am and 6pm). Summerleaze beach and downs are dog-friendly, so that's a plus. The property itself could do with a deep clean, but overall it's a great base. Parking was a bit tight for our estate car, but manageable. Definitely recommend the Crooklets Beach Cafe for a bite and live music on weekends. Bude town is only a 15-minute walk away, so pretty handy!
