Really charming, absolutely loved it!
BEN
We really needed the accommodation to be good since the weather was absolutely atrocious. It was definitely worth the money! The staff were sociable and very attentive, which made our stay even better. Worth the money for sure!
Simon
Overall, we found this lodge pretty comfortable and it worked well for what we needed. The location is quite nice too! There's a good amount of space between the lodges. However, maintenance doesn't appear to be a big priority, as the outside looks a bit worn and the outdoor furniture and handrails were covered in cobwebs. The water in the hot tub was never checked during our stay. Also, the dining room table is really small for four people. It's meant to extend, but it's glued shut from being broken before. It felt really cramped at meal times for four of us.
Jack
What a lovely place! The people are really friendlyand we absolutely loved the hot tub after a long day. It was just what we needed to unwind.
Claire
We had a fabulous holiday! The lodge has everything you need for a comfy stay. The kids especially loved the hot tub in the evenings and feeding the greedy ducks with lots of frozen peas from the pond behind us. We discovered a local loop walk to the reservoir. There was plenty of driving to explore Devon and Cornwalland we saw loads of castles, including Castle Drogo and Okehampton Castle, among many others. Tintagel and Bude beach were also fantastic trips. Now we definitely need a holiday to rest our weary legs from all that hill walking!
Olivia
What a fantastic luxury lodge with everything you could wish for! It's perfect for walkers, but if you fancy the beach, the location isn't ideal. The beaches are stunning, but it's a 45-minute drive each wayand with fuel prices, it adds up. The hot tub was a real treat after driving for up to two hours a day. The hosts were really friendly and accommodatingand we would definitely return. Just a heads-up, Betty Cottles pub could use some TLC - the play area isn't great or safe for kids; there's rubbish everywhere and it's not managed by the park owners!
Mark
Great little lodge! The linen was lovely and fresh. The hot tub was well maintained and perfect after a long journey. The nearby woods are fully fenced and gated, which is ideal for our pooch.
Laura
We loved the beautiful accommodation and the surrounding area. It was just what we needed! Everything was spot on and made our stay really enjoyable. Can't wait to go back! The only tiny thing was that we wished there were more local dining options nearby.
Emily
We stayed in Oak Lodge and it was absolutely fantastic! It was right by the duck pond, which was such a beautiful location. The lodge itself was immaculate and had everything we needed for a proper home from home holiday. The hot tub was greatand we loved using it every evening after plenty of walking on Dartmoor. There was a friendly pub just 100 yards away that served great food. We will definitely be going backand I would highly recommend Meldon Park for a relaxing holiday.
