Daisy Cottage Reviews

One of the best holidays we've had in several years. The accomodation is practically perfect. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, etc... The new Starlink internet seems to have overcome the issues faced by some of the previous reviews regarding internet stability, as we never seemed to have an issue with connectivity during our stay, and that was with 2 phones, 2 tablets, a streaming stick, and the cottage TV. The TV has a wide variety of streaming apps and services available, but you'll need to provide your own account details to use them. Even with being opposite the farm buildings, and having various vehicles driving in and out of the forecourt during the day, you very rarely hear anything that even remotely distracting. The view from the back of the cottage of rolling fields as far as you can see is wonderful. Even with poor weather, it is still great to sit in the conservatory and take in the view. The outdoor hot tub is a definite crowd pleaser, and one of the main reasons why we booked this stay. We're definitely planning on returning to this fantastic hidden delight.

Daisy Cottage is a very comfortable, well equipped and perfectly located holiday destination. The cottage is on a working farm but there was no disturbance other than the occasional 'bah' from the sheep in the field in front of the conservatory. It's about a mile from the village which has a pub serving excellent food. Walkable distance but only in the light as narrow unlit lanes. Only 3 miles from Charmouth, and a short hop in the car to an amazing farm shop. The cottage was very comfortable and the kitchen really well equipped. The bedroom we used looked out over the fields and beds were comfy. The second bedroom had an ensuite which was useful. There's a smart TV there which we only used the once as we like chilling and reading when we're away. We did make a lot of use of the hot tub which is really close to the back door which was good as we were there in October so a bit chilly when you get out of the tub. We are certainly planning a second trip and looking forward to one of the walking farm tours given by the owner.
Beautiful setting, an ideal base for exploring Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. We had an enjoyable stay

Friendly Welcoming host, enjoyed our stay. Beautiful scenery and cottage.
Had a wonderful week at Daisy cottage, the hot tub my particular favourite, such a peaceful place, the owners were extremely helpful, the cottage has everything included, air conditioning, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, grill, hobs and a fully enclosed garden with wire fencing for our dog. Beds were comfortable, everything clean and tidy, walk in shower or bath, can't fault the place, would definitely love to return.

This property is brilliant . Sue the host is lovely. Its comfy and cozy with a beautiful garden and hot tub. The beds are comfy and its got everything you need. Although Its on a working farm it was really quiet, yes you hear the odd tractor and the sheep baahh in the field next to you but thats all part of its charm. There were a few flies but again its part of being on a working farm and a bit of fly spray soon fixed it. You can park right outside the door which makes unloading and loading your car really easy. Its an easy drive to Charmouth, Lyme Regis and Bridport, but the roads are narrow until you get out on to the main ones so care is needed. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Daisy Cottage and would definitely stay there again.
Stunning location down a typical country road on a working farm. if this is exactly what you are looking for it's perfect. However the road to and from property has windey bends and tractors so be prepared to reverse where necessary. Cottage and beds comfortable and everything you need in kitchen. Hot tub fabulous. only real negative for us was the lack of wifi the owners have put everything in to try and improve but it's still not strong enough for the smart tv or iphones so we had to detox from using technology which i suppose isn't a bad thing. If you know before that the wifi isn't great at least you are prepared

We arrived via narrow country lanes and parking was right outside the front door for easy unloading. It is a lived in converted barn and is very welcoming and nicely laid out. Bedrooms are exactly as the photos with towels supplied. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need. The living area has a full height window overlooking the yard and cows over the road in more of the farm, a resident pheasant and the farm cat checked us out at the window and had a noisy conversation with our dogs
