The Warren U5 Reviews

Really enjoyable stay. Great lodge in an ideal location. The owner was really helpful too. Would definitely stay again.

Do not book in its current state . Dirty cupboards , walls , toilet and bathroom . Veneer peeling off bathroom cabinets . Broken kitchen taps and bathroom tap . Broken toilet seat . Broken bedroom window . Dirty bedroom curtains . Chipped glass on bathroom mirror . Wardrobe sliding glass mirrors off the rails . Stained mattresses when sheets removed at end of the stay . Dirty tv handsets . Dirty microwave and cooker interior . Outside patio full of weeds . Overhanging bushes which have not been pruned . Broken key safe , difficult to access under wall of overgrown prickly bushes . Broken slab outside door near to key safe . Outside shed houses washing machine and an old rusty dryer which made a noise when we tried to use it . Old furniture dumped behind chalet which is viewed from main bedroom . It appears from previous complaints nothing has been resolved as all the same problems and complaints remain evident .
Hello, We have had a fabulous week. The property was perfect in every way, very close to the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our first family holiday with our new grandson. Martin, the owner was more than accommodating, enabling our stay to be the best. Thank you again.
Upon arrival at the property U5 initially from the outside everything looked ok. The pictures on sykes website look lovely, but entering the property the general feel of the property was very tired and in some parts quite dirty. The Curtain poles in the whole property were rusted the whole way along the fridge didnt work so made the milk and all of our yoghurt go off we couldnt store any food we had a oneyearold with us so this wasnt convenient at all the garden was full of weeds and the garden was not maintained very well at all considering the property is rented out to guests. the coffee table in the main sitting area was extremely dusty on the bottom which gave me a general feel of how dirty the property was going to be. there was no oven gloves or tea towels to make food in the oven. For nearly 500 per night we stayed for 3 nights we are extremely disappointed with the standard of this property. This is our main holiday of the year so really quite upset about it . I would have loved to have recommended the property because it is so close to the beach on the Warren and a perfect location. Its just a shame how tired it was , all it needs is a little bit of money spending on it. We will not stay here again unfortunately, and would strongly advise the owners to update the property ASAP.

The Warren park with its facilities and location is amazing but then my heart sunk when I set eyes on our scruffy badly neglected Lodge. The whole driveway and outside patio is covered in large weeds, in needs of a jet wash and last Autumns old dried up leaves removed. The view from the main bedroom window is a collection of dumped broken furniture, this needs removed and disposed of. Only 50 of Outside lights in working order. Indoors bathroom cabinet needs replaced. Bedroom door handle needs fixedreplaced. Loose taps. Windows need fixed. Stained cushions. Black mould in shower. The whole indoors needs a deep clean and maintained on a regular basis. This is not the cleaners fault as they only have a set time to turn over the properly in between lets. New photo need to be taken to represent U5 current state and not mislead paying customers. Please email if you would like me to send photographs. Regards Tamara

Fab place and second time we have stayed here. The location is perfect and the chalet has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Spacious, clean and modern accommodation in a great location literally 30 second walk from the beach with a good amount of privacy on offer in the outside spaces. Martin the owner was very helpful in preparing us for our visit to The Warren and we had no problems in finding and entering the accommodation. We were lucky with the weather but a perfect location for a couple with 2 dogs to just relax and unwind for a few days in a beautiful location. We will definitely return and thank you to Martin for allowing us to stay in your beautiful property!

Wow wow wow, this sums up our holiday accommodation. Spacious, bright and welcoming. We loved the decor and airy feeling. The design is great and we wish we could live there!

The Warren U5. April 2024. Really enjoyed our stay at U5, the chalet is spacious, in a great location, not over looked with good sized outdoor space too compared to others I have stayed in. Unfortunately, there is some maintenance required on a few things, such as the loose taps in kitchen and the bath, electric shower in bath wasnt working. WiFi wasnt working, probably due to the storm we had. Nothing major that cant be fixed and can expect some things not to be perfect in a rental. I did mention this to Martin the owner, and he was very apologetic about it all and offered to get guys out to sort some of the stuff but it was fine it didnt spoil our holiday. Im sure it will all be fixed soon enough and we would definitely stay again.
We had a wonderful week away. The property is beautiful. The owner contacted us prior to our arrival and provided us with some useful information and was more than happy to help with a few queries I had. On arrival there were no issues getting through the ANPR controlled gates, we provided all 3 car registrations and all got through no problem. On arrival the property was clean and tidy both inside and out. We did find that we were all using the ensuite shower as its a lot more powerful than the one in the shared bathroom. Beds were super comfy. Sofa was too low for my grandma to use but we piled some cushions up and she was fine. Outdoor shower was very handy for getting any sand off before heading indoors. Washer and dryer were easy to use. Access to the beach is just round the corner via a narrow sandy path. The outdoor pool area was perfect, non slip flooring and no steps just walk in. Heated to at least 2830oc and the small shallow pool must have reached 40oc easily! It was like getting into a hot tub!! Sadly as we went in June and not peak season the pool would close at 5pm but then you can go enjoy another 3 hours of sunshine on the beach. Only been back home 24hours and have booked to stay again next year. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, heres to many more to come.
Fab time In a lovely chalet would definitely recommend.

This is the second time this year that I have stayed in this property. I only stayed this time as I had already booked and loss of deposit etc. The property is tired, several lights don't work, the main door handle mechanism is faulty and difficult to operate, the freezer needs deicing badly cant open the doors. The fireheater in the lounge doesn't work or the remote to control it is faulty, the shaving mirror light in the bathroom doesn't work. Most of these problems existed several months ago, last time I stayed, which indicates a general lack of maintenance and effort to make the property functional for renters. Furthermore, during both stays I provided the car registration details, as requested, but this is pointless as The Warren take no notice of the information. This means that each time you enter the park you have to discuss your booking with security.
Christine
Our second stay in this property. I was concerned about earlier reviews regarding the main bathroom shower, en suite floor tiles and garden area but I am happy to say all issues have been rectified. Fabulous property in brilliant location.
Nicola
We have stayed in u5 numerous times over the past few years. Unfortunately the chalet has become very tired. Shower floor tiles broken and sharp Taps broken kitchen and main bathroom Double bed sagged I the middle Sofa base broken. Unusable. Outside was filthy, cigarettes ends and dog mess. Such a shame as in lovely position. Really needs some tlc.
Caroline
On arrival the property seemed presentable and as expected but during usage we came across lots of maintenance issues Broken and loose floor tiles in the ensuite bathroom, we actually felt that this was dangerous and had concerns about the tiles cutting our feet. Had we had children with us this would of been entirely unacceptable. Staining over carpets and rugs Scuff marks over walls Wardrobe door has a broken door, thats fallen of its rails Window hinges are broken Tin foil over shower tidy Black mould in and around the ensuite shower Faulty taps in the bath Initials jet washed into patio Broken and missing bulbs throughout bedrooms Weeds everywhere Rotted panelsdamage to the outside of the chalet Dog waste in the garden area Its clear this property has once been very loved, but now needs allot of general maintenance. We would not stay here again and didnt feel safe using the ensuite due to the broken floor tiles. We are extremely unhappy about the cost of the stay, given the poor and dangerous state of the chalet. Photos are available but Im not able to upload them here.
U5 was a lovely chalet and a real credit to its owners. It was full of personal touches and very well equipped. We were very impressed.
