About Alpaca Cottage

Rest and relax at this gorgeous countryside property, set on private grounds, ideal for couples and solo travellers seeking a tranquil base from which to explore the local amenities and Cambridgeshire attractions. This dog-friendly cottage has lovely walks from the doorstep into the surrounding scenic countryside.

The village of Kimbolton is 1.5 miles away. There are plenty of activities to suit all tastes in the surrounding countryside, including at the Graffham Water Centre 8.5 miles away, which has a 280-acre nature reserve to explore, along with opportunities for walking, cycling, sailing and water sports.

History buffs will enjoy a day at National Trust Houghton Mill and Waterclose Meadow, 18.5 miles away. Discover the history of the 18th-century water mill and then take a walk in the water meadows by the River Ouse.

Alternatively, visit Hitchingbrooke Country Park, 14 miles away, with open grassland, woodlands, and lakes to enjoy. Step inside this attractive, contemporary property, set over a ground and mezzanine level, which welcomes you with a homely embrace.

Enter through the doors on the decking and step into a light, bright, open-plan living space. Immediately on your right is a handy wardrobe and the dining area.

There is a rustic-style wooden bench table and thoughtful decor reflecting the countryside location, making this a lovely spot for a romantic dinner. On the left as you come in is the cosy sitting area set around a warming wood burner, making this a great year-round choice.

After a day of discovery, come home and pop a log on the burner for a crackling, cosy evening, snuggled up on the comfortable seating, watching your favourite box set on the Smart TV. The compact kitchen features all the appliances you need to whip up a lazy brunch or a delicious dinner, perhaps from local produce bought on your day’s exploring.
