Life's a Beach Reviews

Teresa
Lovely lodge very clean, neat & comfortable. Well equipped too. Welcome basket was a great touch, as were the dog towels and bowls. Lovely relaxing week lots of dog walks on the huge sandy beach.
We really enjoyed our break, it is so lovely and quiet.
Exceptional. No expense spared at this beautiful lodge. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need and it's all top quality. Even our beautiful welcome pack was full of top quality items including a bottle of champagne. We couldn't have wished for more.
Lindsey
We loved this place so much last year that we booked straight away to return this year. It did not disappoint and we had another lovely week in a great location. This luxury lodge is very well equipped both indoors & outside. It's also spotlessly clean & we were very comfortable there for our stay. We were met by the owner who is friendly & kind. Julie has high standards & puts a lot of effort into the finishing touches such as welcome packs, fresh flowers, nice soaps, reed diffusers, blanketsthrows etc in all of the rooms. She also made excellent provisions for us to bring our dog with us. We felt well looked after by the maintenance chap who popped by daily to check the chemical levels in the hot tub. This was not at all intrusive and we found him to be friendly & knowledgeable about the local area. To be able to sit in the hot tub with a glass of bubbles in the evening, looking up at the stars & listening to the ocean is such a lovely feature of this place. It's another 5 star review from us we love this place & simply could not fault it. Easily the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in by far. Thank you for hosting us again for another fantastic holiday.
The lodge itself was amazing but if we had known it was on a holiday park, we may not have booked it. It was very difficult to find but fortunately, the lovely Julie was able to direct us in.

The owner met us when we arrived, showed us round, explained things such as the chap coming every day to check the hot tub and he told us a few places to visit, which turned out to be good. Welcome hamper was outstanding with good quality items and milk in the fridge for our first drink. Quality of furniture, including the bed and bedding was also outstanding, bed very comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others.

A very welcoming property from the greeting by the lovely owner and the fabulous welcome pack to the perfectly clean and bright furnishings. We could happily have lived there. You can indeed see the sea from the hot tub and the view from the crows nest is worth braving the spiral stairs for. All the furniture, inside and out is very clean and comfortable. The home is fitted with everything you need, there is no need to take extra kitchen equipmentutensils just in case. The owner has thought of everything. Thank you for providing such a lovely base to explore the area.
Absolutely fantastic property! Literally the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed at! Its a pristine, extremely comfortable and spacious home from home. Lovely welcome pack left for us by the very friendly and helpful owner! Enclosed private green area for dogs and short walk to a gate to the beach! We really loved our stay at Lifes a Beach!
Fantastic Lodge. Fantastic Location. Fantastic Host. This was a perfect holiday made even more special with Julie's lovely welcome and goodies for you to enjoy. If you debating booking this lodge debate no further BOOK IT! you wont be disappointed it really is as good as it looks in the pictures.
Christine
Perfect place to stay right by the sea. We were met by Julie the owner who showed us around, there was a lovely welcome hamper. The accommodation was spotless, very comfortable with everything there you could possibly need. The hot tub was amazing and well maintained. The crows nest was fab. My only criticism is finding the lodge, we wasnt given the park name or lodge number but I saw after you could use what3words app, that isnt something Ive used before. We would definitely stay here again!
Great few days break at Bacton. The accommodation was extremely well presented and clean, with all necessary requirements in place. Including a lovely welcome pack. On the first morning there was a slight issue with the boiler, however the owner soon sorted for us and the subsequent showers were lovely and hot. Julie greeted us on arrival and was very warm & welcoming throughout. Our only comment would be that a stair steps would be nice so that the dogs can enter the grassed area more easily without intervention. The top sundeck gives great views both out to sea and inland and is useful for bird watching, star gazing, sun bathing and beer drinking....
This is a truly lovely lodge right next to a beautiful beach. The beach is dog friendly up until May. You can see the sea whilst sat in the hot tub. The owner, Julie, left the most incredible welcome pack we have ever seen. We had a query on the first night and Julie replied to our message immediately despite it being Good Friday. The beds are lovely and comfy and the whole place is spotless. It is overlooked by the next lodge but that wasnt a massive problem for us. There isnt much to do in Bacton but its a good base for visiting Cromer, Sheringham and Wroxham. Theres a wonderful fish and chip shop a short distance away in Walcott and a couple of dog friendly pubs nearby. I would definitely recommend. We hope to visit again in the future.
A great lodge right on the beach. Perfect for our dog with dog treats, towels and leads should you need them. Lodge has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely welcome pack, much appreciated. Used the hot tub twice a day, for relaxing after days out. Horsey gap a good trip out to view seals on the beach. Can recommend sunday lunch at the ship in mundesley very dog friendly. Cromer and the broads also good for days out.
Michael
Location great with view from rooftop terrace. Couple of extra utensils would be useful I.e sieve, additional serving spoons. This I doesnt distract from what a great lodge this was. Would return anytime.
As a family of 4 my mother whos 80 & 21yr old we stayed here over Christmas and wasnt disappointed! On an arrival was greeted by Julie to a beautiful decorated lodge feeling very Christmassy, cosy and a very thoughtful hamper which was lovelyespecially the Bubbles
Deborah Louise
Lovely place. Exceptionally well equipped. Everything you could ever need right down to a dog foot wash
Lauren
We cannot thanks Julie & Mike enough, this holiday home is top spec in an amazing area. It has everything you will need and they were on hand to help with any issues we had. As it was our first proper holiday with our baby we were slightly anxious but it was superb!
Lifes a beach is a gorgeous property and an idyllic location, we were left a lovely welcome pack on arrival even with a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge cold and ready to go which just shows the thought gone in to guests of this accommodation. The site itself is a great location with a short stride to the beach and we had a brilliant holiday! Will certainly be back.
Fabulous accommodation. . only a stones throw from a beautiful beach.. well equipped kitchen, an added luxury of a hot tub and a roof terrace to be able to see for miles over the ocean.. a superb welcome pack which was greatly appreciated... would highly recommend
Wonderful accommodation very clean on arrival we were greeted with flowers in the room such a lovely touch the fridge had drinks cheese butter eggs ,apples tomatoes cucumber chocolates also tea and coffee, every thing we needed to start our holiday without going shopping . Thank you so much to the owners will definitely go again
The property was lovely and comfortable and well equipped, however it was tricky to find using satnav plus the lodge has a number not a name which doesnt match the booking so again had to go by the photos to find the right one. On arrival the internet and TV didnt work properly but this was resolved very quickly by the owners the following day. Then the interruptions started to check the hot tub, to read the electric meter and to fix an outside tap. I appreciate these things have to be done but couldnt they wait until change over day? There is also a rather rude camp commandant whos role only seems to be to tell you about the rules that do not appear in any of the information in the lodge eg keep dogs on a lead and to watch your every move. Not appreciated.
Debbie
Couldnt fault this lovely lodge. Perfectly placed for all the places we wanted to visit. Lovely and clean and with just about everything you could think of. Watching the weather roll around and the evening set in whilst in the hot tub after a long day of walks with the dog was a perfect way to unwind and with the lovely little welcome basket too. Its always a little stressful booking places with a dog but we shouldnt have worried especially as the outside of the lodge was secure with a great little gate and we loved the dog friendly touches our spaniel particularly loved the views from up top. All in all it was just what we needed.
Lindsey
Fabulous lodge in a great location. Well equipped & very clean. I stayed here with my dog & my mum who has limited mobility. We were very comfortable here for the week & the hot tub was an added bonus. We will be returning next year.

Attractions Near Life's a Beach

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained at Life's a Beach itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Norfolk has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 10 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 13 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 17 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 20 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 24 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 26 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
