The beautifully updated hideaway lies within the bounds of a lovely site situated along the picturesque outskirts of the friendly Cambridgeshire village of Brinkley.

Cambridge lies to the west (15 miles), home to the historic university, with famous attractions including the River Cam, King's College Chapel, the Fitzwilliam Museum and the Mathematical Bridge. Heading north, Newmarket is renowned for its popular racecourse (6 miles), and to the east, Bury St Edmunds (20 miles) hosts The Hunter Gallery and Moyse's Hall Museum.

Other local landmarks include the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village, Fullers Mill Garden, Lackford Lakes, Bottishall Airfield Museum, Anglesey Abbey and Audley End, all within 18 miles. An easily accessible wooden pathway snakes through the quiet wildflower meadow and the surrounding woodlands, then past a sweet lake and towards this beautifully arranged, tastefully furnished single-level cabin.

Inside, the fresh and inviting timber-clad open-plan lounge/kitchenette/diner features a high vaulted ceiling, a Smart TV, ample seating and a handy breakfast bar alongside a useful array of kitchen equipment. When it's time to turn in for the night, the airy and spacious bedroom has a cosy double bed beneath a high wooden ceiling.

Going outside, a peaceful decked area has comfortable garden furniture, making a cheerful spot for you both to sit out and enjoy a morning coffee or a BBQ as you take in the idyllic rural countryside of the surrounding park. There's also a bubbling hot tub for you to unwind in.

A path heads from the cabin across to the shower block where each cabin has its own stylishly arranged and private shower room. The surrounding grounds have a wealth of activities on offer, including badminton and boating, with amenities including a putting green, treehouse platform, picnic area and lake.

National Horse Racing Museum - CB8 8JL
about 4 Miles
This is a museum with a difference and a must see if you are into horse racing.  You can take guided tours around the museum or choose to wander round yourself admiring the exhibits.  New for 2010 is a Junior Fun Tour which is ideal for children.  Simply ask the gallery staff for a Fun Tour pack when you enter the museum and kids can answer questions and spot clues and tips on the way round.  One of the most popular recent exhibitions is the Thoroughbred: State of the Art exhibition in Gallery 5 on until 31st October.  Check out their websites for the latest exhibitions.

This attraction is currently under construction but we are looking forward to it opening in early 2011.  The philosophy of the Discovery Centre is 'healthy body, healthy mind, healthy planet and aims to change people's attitudes and actions towards our planet.  Educational as well as fun there are plenty of activities such as outdoor sport pitches, cycle and walking trails and indoor activity rooms.  This is a unique attraction for the whole family.
Colchester Zoo - CO3 0SL

Colchester Zoo is a fantastic place to visit with something for all the family.  Wander around and see the array of animals in excellent habitats.  Don't forget to visit the Leopards at Ussuri Falls, this new expansion can be located opposte the White Tiger Valley and the Medellin Momkeys.  Other popular areas of the zoo include Tiger Taiga, Chimp World and Wallaby Walkabout.   Look out for special events throughout the year such as Shriek Week on Halloween.  If you book tickets online you can obtain a discount of 10% and are also fast tracked on entry to the zoo - a great idea in the school holidays.
