Owl Cottage is a hidden gem nestled in the rural village of Kettleburgh, perfect for a peaceful holiday or short break, with the market town of Framlingham less than four miles away and the Heritage Coast only 30 minutes drive. Set in a sunny woodland spot with outside patio for alfresco dining or morning coffee, with only the bird song to disturb you.

Nestled in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, Owl Cottage offers a peaceful escape surrounded by enchanting woodland views. This charming ground-floor property is thoughtfully designed for comfort, relaxation, and convenience.

Step into the welcoming sitting room, where hard flooring flows throughout the home. The sitting area invites you to unwind with idyllic views from every window, a two-seater sofa and armchair, and a TV with terrestrial channels for entertainment.

A wooden dining table sits neatly in the corner, perfect for enjoying meals or morning coffee, while a corner desk provides a quiet space to work if needed. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay, including an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, slimline dishwasher, fridge with icebox freezer, kettle, toaster, and a Nespresso coffee machine.

A washing machine is also available for added convenience. The master bedroom features a sumptuous king-size bed positioned to take full advantage of the woodland views.

Wonderful stay with all that was needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The cottage was a beauty and the woodland awesome with the different breeds of owls visiting at night. My daughter loved the hot tub and used it every day. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and willing to have a chat. The bottle of wine and snack were lush and tasty. All was clean and tidy and ample towels and what a fantastic shower, though we did use our own towels, a mere preference.

We had a fabulous stay at Owl Cottage. Such a beautiful property, very comfortable and with everything you could need. Ideally located for exploring the area and walking distance to a lovely pub. Very welcoming owner and I would love to stay again soon!

Loved the cottage, very cosy and welcoming. I had the single room absolutely beautiful with windows floor to ceiling on three sides. It felt like sleeping outdoors with magnificent view of woods and the gentle trickle of water from the fish pond.all from the comfort of your bed . Such a chill out weekend. Oh and the hot tub star gazing and owls calling back and forth.a weekend is not enough!!

I went on a 3 night break with my dad and our two dogs, we both loved every aspect of the cottage and its facilities. Loved Owl Cottage and would definitely recommend. I hope to return again.

We enjoyed a pleasant shortstay to explore the surrounding area, and found the dogfriendly cottage wellplaced and equipped for the purpose. The good weather helped and the pub at the end of the garden, and the hottub at the cottage were great ways to relax at the end of the day. A few maintenance issues were discussed with the owner and acknowledged for the benefit of future guests.

We enjoyed our stay here a very peaceful location and the trees made the lot more manageable. A good spot for exploring the Suffolk coast.

Beautiful cleaning accommodation, owners very welcoming. A little difficult to see sign for accommodation. May use what three words for others to find.

Had a lovely few days, very wet. Christine was brilliant, as the fridgefreezer stopped working and within a few hours another fridge freezer was in place. Benji loved the wooden area! Thank you.

Nice modern cottage. Well equipped. Lovely quiet location, short walk via footpath to local pub. Dog friendly, not open on monday and only do food from wednesday. Short drive into Framlingham, good coop, cafes pubs and small shops.

Had a lovely week. Woods were great for the dog's. Footpath to the Chequers. Food is well worth the walk not available every day. Found the Thomas caf in Southwold great for lunch.

We have had a most enjoyable week. The cottage has everything we need and more. The setting in the bluebell wood is superb. So peaceful and so many bird songs including tawny owls at night. A perfect location within our area of interest in Suffolk. Framlingham is a super village and the castle spectacular, also the adjacent mere. It was lovely to meet Nigel. The future of this lovely spot seems secure. Bye for now.

This cottage has so much to recommend it. We have been very comfortable. We enjoyed the birds, the trees and flowers. Suffolk is beautiful even in a wet February.

2nd year here at Owl Cottage & we've already booked for Christmas '26. Lovely walks in the woods. Our dogs love it here. Framlingham is close by, a lovely village. The Chequers serve great food.

This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area. The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region. The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK. Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.

This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended. Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.

Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK. The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
