Escape with your loved ones to this charming lodge in a quite countryside setting just 5 miles from the town of Needham Market, home to one of the best collections of timber-framed buildings in the county. Needham Lake and Nature Reserve is well worth a visit and boasts picnic and play facilities and a surfaced pathway around the lake.
The local pub (2 miles) hosts theme night and offers a warm welcome and great food, or visit the local vineyard offering a great choice of locally produced wine and special events through out the year (2.5 miles). The surrounding area is home to many historic and beautiful villages, including Hadleigh (9 miles) and Monks Eleigh (8.5 miles), and the atmospheric cobbled streets of Lavenham are just 10 miles away.
With more than 300 listed buildings, it’s known as Britain's best-preserved medieval town. Keen golfers can visit Stowmarket Golf course (6.5 miles), while art fans should take a trip to Thomas Gainsborough’s House (15 miles), the birthplace of the famous painter.
Park your car in the private parking area (there’s room for three cars) and head to your lodge’s front door via a gentle ramp. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a generous hallway where you can store all your outdoor gear.
The hallway opens into a rustic and chic open-plan living/kitchen/dining area. Cool, Scandinavian styling abounds in this sociable space, where the walls and ceilings are adorned in light wood panelling.
Take a moment to soak up the the glorious view across open fields from two sets of French doors before you head to the bespoke kitchen area to rustle up some dinner. Get everyone together to eat at the stylish dining table, before making a beeline for the sofa to enjoy a glass of wine by the electric flame-effect fire.
