Vine Cottage Walberswick Reviews

Diane
A lovely big holiday house with hot tub in a great location. Plenty to see with two lovely pubs in the village. Heating instructions are not clear and if visiting with small children be mindful that window upstairs open very wide.
Karen
Great location. Well fitted out, great house for hide and seek. Local pubs close. As is the sea fab to listen to at night. End of season so needs a good clean in the downstairs communal areas.
Deborah
This cottage is ideal for a group . Lots of rooms and places where you could all be together , or find a place on your own . Lovely location in the village close to the ferry , beach, pubs , and shops . Comfy beds , practical kitchen, two fridges , wet room , laundry room and hot tub !! Weâ??d love to visit again !
Christopher
A lovely and unusual cottage in a great village. There were many amenities in the house. We were able to take our dogs on lovely walks. There are plenty of places to vist within easy travelling distances from Walberswick.

A lovely, characterful cottage, or two in reality, merged into one. Two kitchens, which was handy as we had both meat eaters and vegans amongst us. The setting in Walberswick is really lovely, affording interesting walks and sunsets over the trees and the water. Visiting in winter parking was not a problem (four cars) within the small drive and the street where the cottage is. Restrictions apply at other times. As a setting for an annual weekend away for our amateur writing group the cottage suited very well, with lots of corners to hide away and write, and a generous sitting room to come togehter as well. A splendidly big table was great for shared meals! We all agreed, despite a few minor niggles (the house was freezing cold when we arrived, would have been good if the heating had been turned on for us) we would definitely come again.

we rented Vine Cottage for two families with children wtih autism - they do not get holidays, they loved the space and locaation
Sally
Vine cottage is such a beautiful place to stay. We couldn't have asked for more in terms of facilities and comfort. We loved the hot tub too. The location is perfect also. Would highly recommend and return ourselves.
Teresa
Not best for children due to so many rooms / doors /stairs no stair gates, odds and ends in the cottage and floors very creaky upstairs so not best when trying to sleep
Katherine
Brilliant location for a beach holiday, the cottage is well equipped and sleeps plenty, although space wise it did feel a little cramped with 8 adults and 3 children!
Christopher
Fantastic location. Peaceful and relaxing. Great walks and two lovely pubs close by. Excellent deli in the village and handy local shop.
Carolyn
A well stocked very spacious property in a lovely location. The dining room with its dual aspect folding doors creates a lovely space for eating and family time. The information in the property could do with updating and being a little more detailed. Sadly the rugs and chairs were unacceptably dirty and not what you would expect from a property of this calibre.
Lucy
The perfect choice for a relaxing 50th birthday weekend with friends. Flexible living and sleeping space and lovely outdoor areas to enjoy the fresh air. Hot tub was a fun bonus! Incredible location overlooking the pretty village green, easy walking distance to great pubs, beach and village shop. Spotlessly clean, and a thoughtful welcome basket of snacks and staples was much appreciated. Would definitely stay again.
Catharine
Lovely location, very close to great pub and many lovely walks including beautiful beaches, plenty of bathrooms, comfortable beds, good family space. Hot tub much enjoyed by all! Information regarding property requires updating and isn't currently accurate.
Sarah
We had a lovely stay. The cottage was generally well equipped and was brilliantly set up for the dogs Lovely social dining area which was well used by us as was the hot tub.
Lesley
Quirky, cosy, comfortable
Sara
Vine Cottage was lovely and in the perfect location for our multi-generational family Christmas. It was wonderful being only 100 steps from The Bell pub and 5 minutes from the beach. The cottage was cosy and welcoming, with very comfortable beds, great bathrooms and the bonus of a hot tub! Easy parking too.

Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 7 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 13 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 23 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 28 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 28 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
