Howburn Log Cabin is a 5-star luxury log cabin in Melkridge, Northumberland, sitting right on the edge of Northumberland National Park. Solar powered and full of character, this two-bedroom cabin sleeps four and is packed with thoughtful touches leather Chesterfield sofas, a fabulous woodburner and patio doors opening onto a private decked area.

The River Tyne is a short stroll away with riverside paths to explore. Woodland, open fields and steep hillside walks are right on the doorstep. The Newcastle to Carlisle railway line runs directly in front of the cabin oddly appealing rather than intrusive.

The kingsize bedroom has a 5ft bed and the twin room has two 3ft singles. A double shower room with heated towel rail serves both.

Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area.
