This is proper Yorkshire Dales countryside. Walk the Pennine Way or tackle the 130-mile Yorkshire Dales Cycle Way both pass right through the dale. Fishing, pony trekking, climbing and pot holing are all nearby. Traditional village pubs are within a mile.

The nearest railway station is Northallerton, approximately 20 miles away, from where a taxi or hire car will get you to Worton. Leyburn is the nearest market town and a useful landmark when navigating the final stretch.
