The 13-mile-long Tissington Trail (7 miles) is equally charming and provides a traffic-free route through picturesque countryside.
For thrill-seekers, Alton Towers (18 miles) offers a mix of roller coasters, while those preferring to keep their feet on the ground can visit the Peak Wildlife Park (15.5 miles). After a day of adventure, Ashbourne (7 miles) is a great place to stop for food and shopping.
