Situated in the charming village of Hopton and overlooking Carsington Water, this stylish barn conversion enjoys an enviable position in the heart of Derbyshire. Carsington Water Visitor Centre (1.5 miles) offers a range of outdoor activities, including sailing, paddleboarding, fishing, cycle hire, scenic lakeside walks, cold water swimming and saunas.

Walkers and cyclists can explore miles of traffic-free routes along the popular Tissington Trail (4 miles) and High Peak Trail (0.5 miles). The magnificent Chatsworth House (11 miles) and historic Haddon Hall (10 miles) provide memorable days out steeped in history, while the Heights of Abraham in Matlock Bath (2.5 miles) offers spectacular cable car journeys high above the Derwent Valley.

Nearby Cromford is well worth exploring with its historic mills, independent shops and canalside walks, while Black Rocks (2 miles) is perfect for walkers seeking panoramic views. Thrill-seekers can enjoy a day out at Alton Towers (18 miles).

This unique attraction combines an array of activities. If you have a look on their website there are some good video clips which give an even better idea of what this attraction is all about. Some of the highlights include the Cable Car system which is actually Britain's first alpine style cable car system. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.

This is an all weather attraction located in Ilkeston Derbyshire. With a large play frame as well as bikes and ride on toys this is a fun place for young children. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular. The admission fee is excellent value for money and parents can sit down and enjoy a drink while the children play. A new baby changing facility has now been installed together with some new chairs making this a clean and welcoming attraction for families. Rosliston Forestry Centre - DE12 8JX

Rosliston Forestry Centre is a beautiful woodland site with tranquil areas for Fishing as well as some beautiful meadows and a lake. British Wildlife Rescue Centre - TN8 7AR

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre. The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild. Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA.
