Pip and Dan are excellent hosts providing everything you could need for a home from home. The hot tub is a bonus after a long day. The dog friendly cottage is quite quirky which adds to its charm. The cottage is in an excellent position to travel around Gloucester. And has the park & ride 4 minutes away to go to Cheltenham which has an abundance of shops and restaurants. Although no pub on your doorstep. It is only a few minutes drive to several. The Hatherley was our favourite.

Quaint/romanti/eclectic/warm and friendly The is plenty to do in the area - Diddly Squat nearby, Dunkertons Cider Farm is a must NB - It's a rural location and as a result there is basically no internet, however, we had fantastic mobile signal with Three, and were easily able to connect our Amazon stick - just make sure you have enough data in advance.

This is an absolutely delightful cottage which has obviously been designed and built with love and flare. We were all made to feel very welcome with cake and goodies for us and biscuits and treats for the dog. Lovely walks in the area, with nice pubs for lunches and close to both Cheltenham and Gloucester for shops and restaurants. A really lovely venue, would like to return and highly recommend.

What a find! This cottage is just perfect for a break away to recharge the batteries. It comes equipped with everything you could need, including bath robes and separate towels for the hot tub, a lovely home made cake, milk, tea, coffee & eggs for breakfast, also hot chocolate to warm you up after a long walk with the dog. We had the most fantastic time at Halfpenny Retreat, the cottage was gorgeous and lovingly decorated. We used the hot tub most evenings which was lovely, before returning inside to sit by the wonderful wood burner and view the pictures taken that day on one of our Cotswold Way walks. We loved the friendly chickens that would wander over to you and the owners two beautiful dogs Lily & Diesel who wanted their daily doggie treat (already supplied in a tin by the owners for your own dog).

Farmer Gows is a recommended attraction in the Faringdon area of Oxfordshire and will be especially suited to families with young children. The little ones will love coming to see the farm animals including pigs, cows and lambs.
