This striking loft apartment is in the historic market town of Wotton-under-Edge, it’s the perfect base for families and friends seeking a memorable backdrop to their Cotswold getaway. The heart of this ancient town has been beautifully preserved, with a myriad of listed buildings and medieval architecture.
The main street is dotted with independent shops, antique stores and a selection of great restaurants to include a steak house. To learn more about the town and the immediate area, pop into the heritage centre or follow one of the self-guided walking tours.
The surrounding landscape is a paradise for keen walkers, with popular routes to the iconic Tyndale Monument or along the Cotswold Way National Trail. Further afield, the elegant city of Bath – the only UK city designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site – makes a lovely day out (22 miles), as does the vibrant city of Bristol (21 miles).
Nearby attractions include Berkeley Castle and Painswick Rococo Garden, both within 15 miles. The stylish apartment is located above the owner’s gift shop.
Step inside from the street, into a lobby area where you’ll find space to store coats and boots. This level is also home to a games room with fun decor, a small pool table, and a dartboard – a cosy spot to while away a few hours after dinner.
From here, a narrow staircase leads you upstairs, where you’ll find the three inviting bedrooms, all with their own, unique style. The first is a king-size room with characterful exposed beams and a botanical vibe running through the accessories and soft furnishings.
The second is a delicate double bedroom, with a pastel colour scheme, panelled feature wall, and an array of enchanting accessories. The remaining bedroom is a cosy twin with a calming coastal theme.
