A public footpath running outside the entrance gate of the cottage connects to a host of other footpaths in Redmarley Woods and towards Dymock and beyond. The Malvern Hills, (10 miles) away, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, also offers excellent hiking opportunities with far-reaching views.
The regency town of Cheltenham, with its iconic racecourse, can be reached within 14 miles. The City of Gloucester with a cathedral dating back to the 1089 and historic harbour (12 miles).
