The regency town of Cheltenham, with its iconic racecourse, can be reached within 14 miles. The City of Gloucester with a cathedral dating back to the 1089 and historic harbour (12 miles).

The historic market town of Ledbury (8 miles) boasts some quaint shops, and excellent range of restaurants and tearooms. At the end of a busy day’s adventure, head back up the long and gorgeous tree-lined driveway and take in your truly idyllic, rural surroundings.

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.

Spetchley Park and Gardens in Worcestershire are the perfect place for a day trip all year round. During the summer months the gardens are really at their best with beautiful displays of flora and fauna. Many families choose to bring a picnic and there are several picnic tables in the grounds.
