We stayed in this tiny but super cosy hut out in the countryside, surrounded by cows and sheep - lovely! Saw kestrels and red kites soaring overhead, which was a real treat. The place was spotless and well kitted out, though the fridge was a bit small. No WiFi, so we were offline for a couple of days, but they left us milk, tea, cookiesand even stuff for our dog. Used the wood for the hot tub and found the staff really friendly and attentive. We had a great time!
Emma

We stayed at Buddy’s cabin recently and honestly, it was brilliant. Meeting Buddy himself was a nice touch! The place was cosy but spacious, way more room than your typical shepherd’s hut. We loved the hot tub and garden areaand they even left us some milk which was a lovely surprise. We definitely plan to come back soon!
Emma
We had a fantastic time! The walk along the locks was stunning and really peaceful. Our parents loved exploring the local food spots and said it was the most relaxing break they've had in ages. Perfect escape from the busy city life. Definitely recommend if you're after a calm, scenic getaway. Truly lovely!

We had such a lovely stay! The place is beautifully decorated and really well stocked, from diffusers and soaps to a retro radio that added a nice touch. Our dog loved the treatsand the hot tub was deep, warmand super easy to use - it was preheated for us which was a bonus. The host was genuinely kind and thoughtful, making us feel welcome. No WiFi wasn’t a problem at all, just tethered to our phones. Definitely coming back to this romantic retreat!

Old Dairy Farm Centre - PO30 2NB
about 20 Miles
Suited to families with children of all ages this is a fantastic attraction in Northamptonshire.  There are many special events held throughout the year so don't forget to check what's happening while you are staying in the region.  Some highlights include the lambing weekends and the monthly local food fayres.
Old Dairy Farm Country Shopping and Craft Centre - LE14 3PF
about 20 Miles
From shopping to home cooked refreshments this is a wonderful day out in the pretty village of Upper Stowe.  You can enjoy amazing views over the Northamptonshire countryside and wander around the complex of stone built farm buildings.  Each building houses something different such as the Occasions Florist, Itsy Bitsy Gifts, Hayrack Gallery and Sheer Delights Lingerie.  When it's time for a rest the Barn Restaurant and Tea Room is the place to go.  There is a small selection of animals at the centre too which younger children will love.  They currently have two Kune Kune pigs, sheep, hens and ducks.  If you are looking for upmarket holiday accommodation in the Northamptonshire area then the luxury lodges at Wicksteed Park are sure to impress.
The Royal Forest of Rockingham - LE16 8UW
about 22 Miles
The Royal Forest of Rockingham in Northamptonshire is the perfect place to enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits including Walking, Cycling, Nature Trails and Horse Riding. The beautiful medieval hunting forest offers areas of ancient woodlands, agricultural land and peaceful stone-built forest villages. The forest is also abundant with wildlife including Deer, Squirrels, Butterflies and Birds.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 25 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
Conkers - DE12 6GA
about 27 Miles
Conkers is an award winning attraction located in the midst of the National Forest.  Combining both indoor and outdoor activities this is an all weather attraction in the Peak District.  It's really easy to get to as well, just 5 miles from Junction 11 off the M42.  Designed for all ages some of the highlights include the Enchanted Forest Adventure play area and a simulated Tree Top walk.  Look out for special seasonal events such as October half term and the Annual Halloween Party.  At the moment you can receive a fantastic discount if you book your tickets online.
