Filly Brook Reviews

Just had a lovely few days staying at Filly Brook. What a lovely house with everything you need. Plenty of space to socialise, sit and relax. We really appreciated the fresh eggs which we ate with relish for breakfast throughout our stay. There dad hairdryer and iron etc in one of the wardrobes. The views were stunning and we loved listening to the variety of bird song and seeing the cows with their calves. The sky at night from the hot tub was full of stars and of course satalites. There's plenty to do within a short drive. The local pub was very welcoming and served nice food. Eastnor Castle was great with plenty to see and do with or without children. We enjoyed a shop around Ledbury with plenty of little boutique shops and a really interesting short talk regarding the 16th century painted room. We would highly recommend this fabulous find of a property, thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely house with a large social kitchen. Beautiful views surrounding the house and a hot tub in the garden to relax in and to appreciate the landscape. We enjoyed seeing the calves and hearing the bird song, it made a great change from city life. We will definitely return.
Beautiful house, with friendly helpful hosts, the location was great with lots to do in a 20 mile radius, two pubs both only 10 minutes walk away, would recommend to anyone.
We absolutely loved Filly Brook! ... it's a beautiful setting and a truly stunning property with the perfect amount of social space both inside and out. It was really frosty and cold outside while we were there but we still really enjoyed the hot tub and the fact that we were able to take our dog made a big difference. It's a great base for exploring the area and the farm and surrounding countryside are beautiful with really spectacular views across the landscape from the house. We'd definitely like to go back sometime soon!

Absolutely gorgeous house Filly Brook, so cosy. We were a party of 4 2 adults and 2 children. The house was very clean, warm and the views were spectacular. The lovely little touches like freshly laid eggs left for us, milk in the fridge, mulled wine, mince pies and chocolates for the children were all very much appreciated and gave our stay that extra little touch. Nick and Vicky were very helpful bringing us towels and firelighter and replied to messages straight away. Extremely spacious kitchen and living room which was great for the kids. The hot tub was brilliant just what we wanted. All 4 of us went in both nights and loved it. My only suggestion would be to add some photos onto your listing of the hot tub as the absence of photos of this nearly made me not book it and I'm so glad we did. Plus, we struggled to find the house when we first arrived as it was getting dark and the turning we needed was one that was signposted 'Wellington farm' but I don't think this name was given to us in the directions, just Filly Brook which you don't see until you actually get to the house. There are loads of restaurants within a 20min drive and lovely walks near by. Our children loved the fact that they could see the cows from their bedroom window and loved talking to the sheep right outside the house when we went for walks and we even popped to the local recreational ground 2 min walk away for a little kick about. Overall, our 2 night stay was fantastic. Thank you very much.

Filly Brook is a superb house located on a working farm. The house is spacious whilst being cosy with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove in the lounge. The open plan kitchendining area is fantastic for sociable cooking and eating. The utility room was extremely useful for storing coats, boots etc, particularly during the winter time. The hot tub is definitely an added bonus! The house is within walking distance of 2 pubs and a relatively short driving distance to Hereford, Worcester and the Malvern Hills. Thank you for a lovely staywill definitely consider coming again at a different time of year.

Fillybrook is a lovely cottage in a picturesque rural setting. It has a large kitchen dining area and cozy lounge for relaxing. Well situated for visits to villages and towns such as Leominster, Worcester and Ledbury. A hot tub was a welcome addition after our journey.

Filly Brook is a lovely holiday cottage and we would recommend it for a relaxing stay. The property was warm and welcoming, and very well equipped with everything we needed. A lovely touch was the free fresh eggs provided, which we really enjoyed. The cottage is in a peaceful spot with easy access to local walks and the surrounding countryside. It was straightforward to reach nearby towns and attractions by car, so it worked well as a base for exploring the area. The hot tub was a real highlight and perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Vicky and Nick sent us a helpful message beforehand with clear instructions on how to get there, a contact number in case we needed anything, and a reminder of the key code, which made arrival completely stress free. Overall, Filly Brook offers a relaxing, wellmaintained and comfortable place to stay, and we would be very happy to return.
The cottage was perfect with all the amenities needed. The view and comfort were outstanding and being part of a working farm allowed a perfect escape from city living. The owner was friendly and helpful. The local area provided easy access to Ledbury and Malvern and walking on the Malvern Hills. The property was warm and cosy. We will return.
We enjoyed a very lovely stay at Filly Brook, which offers excellent spacious accommodation for a family of 6 or just a couple. There are beautiful views and scenery from the house and garden and offers good walks from the door. Is was a little disappointing dogs needed to be kept on lead in the main garden, which may prove more difficult in the summer, with the French doors open. However this was mentioned in the details and we came prepared with long lines. Guests should be aware it is an very active working farm with livestock close by.
All great thanks. Cottage big and comfortable. Clean and tidy. Everything you needed in the kitchen. Good tv and Internet signal Good communication from Vicky Secure garden for doggy Hot tub clean and sparkling. We didn't get to see stars though, weather a bit hit and miss Beautiful farm eggs for breakfast Hop village down the road is good for a visit. Local community shop good for the little bits you need Nice Deli at Bromyard, Legges Majors Arms pub good for a pint. Football pitch across the road good for a dog run too So lovely Cottage and plenty to do Thanks
A great property on a working farm in an excellent rural location, spacious, comfortable and clean, equipped with the necessary items for a relaxing break. The hosts Vicky and Nick are welcoming, friendly and on hand without being intrusive. The local area is good for walking and visiting places of interest with plenty of places to eat. We particularly like Chim Doo for a Thai meal and The Farmers Arms, a family run pub. In our view this Sykes property is of a high standard. Sally and Martin

We had a great break at Filly Brook, the house is gorgeous and the new hottub was an added bonus. Watching the amazing stars at night from the hottub was 'wow'! The house is on a working farm, so be aware there is farm smells, sounds and machinery. The pub a 5mins walk away had great food.
We had the most amazing holiday at Filly Brook! The house was spotless and so well equipped! High quality and modern and so spacious! Nick & Vicky were amazing and friendly hosts! They offered us eggs and were so helpful. The children loved the farm life! The hot tub was an absolute treat, overlooking the beautiful views. Everything so well thought out to ensure we had the best holiday!
We had a fantastic stay here. The house is in a beautiful location. It is enclosed all round so safe for kids and dogs. It is a very specious property with everything you need for a weekend away. The hot tub was a lovely addition with beautiful views. We loved being on a working farm and were allowed to take the children to meet the cows and the sheep. We will definitely be back!
A wonderful stay! Vicky, Nick & the family were so friendly & accommodating. A beautiful, working family farm with gorgeous scenery all around! The hot tub & bbq made our stay so relaxing! An absolute gem of a find!

The House is ideally situated to explore the local region with very nice views from the well appointed kitchen and all the rooms. Located on a farm, it has a nice farm feel with the cow shed nearby and the sheep grazing just over the fence. The home is very well stocked with equipment and facilities, and suited our 6 person group well. The hot tub was a very nice addition.
Konrad
We had a great stay at this cottage it is generous and has a great open plan kitchen diner and comfy lounge. Everything is kitted out really well and there wasn't really anything we lacked. We loved the views from the cottage over unspoilt countryside. Owners were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The area is beautiful and only a stone's throw from the Herefordshire Trail and pretty towns such as Ledbury. As mentioned in the listing this is located on a working farm which is very clean and tidy btw but as expected you do get some noise and smells that come with that. Overall we felt that the package was great and excellent value for money.
