About Greystones Clock Tower Lodge

Located a stone’s throw from the magnificent Glandore Harbour estuary, this stylish barn conversion is surrounded by a glorious rural landscape. It is perfect for couples and families looking for an escape to the country; countless scenic walks through County Cork’s countryside await from the doorstep.

Beneath the traditional stone exterior, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is bursting with sophistication, boasting a sleek neutral colour palette and contemporary touches everywhere you look, plus plenty of space for the whole family to unwind at the end of a busy day’s adventure. The roaring wood burner and uninterrupted countryside views through the large set of patio doors create a truly warming, relaxing atmosphere, setting the scene for the ultimate cosy night in.

Upstairs, both double bedrooms are a haven of pure serenity, boasting characterful sloping ceilings and sumptuously soft linens that’ll lull you into a peaceful slumber before tomorrow’s adventure. There is also a family bathroom.

Soak up the last of the evening’s sunshine by firing up the BBQ and dining alfresco on the patio with the stunning rural views as your backdrop. You’ll get to know County Cork’s enchanting countryside and coastline very well from the historic village of Leap (1.5 miles) at the head of Glandore Harbour estuary, home to a wonderful selection of local shops and pubs.

Surrounded by unspoiled countryside, head to the picturesque fishing village of Glandore, 2.5 miles away, to spot grey herons, oystercatchers and seals from its harbour; the greater bay area located between the Galley Head and Toe Head is renowned for dolphins, porpoises and whales. Those who love life on the water can head to the historic village of Baltimore, 16 miles away, to try snorkelling, kayaking, diving and deep-sea angling.

A lovely comfortable house with views over the countryside. Lots of walks in the area & lovely fish restaurants, spoilt for choice. House is very central to areas in West Cork. Would highly recommend.
