Alex T.
Really enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect for our group of 16and it was great exploring Keswick for the first time. Overall, a very good experienceand we're glad we chose this place!
Luke
Beautiful house in a fantastic spot, ideal for a family getaway, we loved it!
Sophie
We stayed in this big, quirky house and honestly, it was perfect for our family gathering. The place was spotless and super comfy, with all the bits and bobs we needed. Each bedroom had its own charmand the dining and sitting areas were really roomy, making it easy to relax and chat. The kitchen and lounge setup was ideal for hanging out, especially while figuring out the aga, which was a bit of a puzzle at first. We'd definitely come back!
Alex Morgan
The place was really well stocked and in a fantastic spot, so no complaints there. We did get some mixed messages though - they said just one high chair, but we found two when we arrived, so we brought ours for nothing. The Aga oven got a bit risky with kids aroundand the kitchen turned into a sauna after a while. On the bright side, the cleaner was lovely and very helpful, which made up for some of the hassle.
Mark
This place was fantastic! Spacious and well situated, with a lovely walking and cycling trail nearby, making Keswick easily accessible. The house had everything we neededand the log fire kept us cosy on chilly nights. Definitely recommend!
Emily Clarke
Really loved this place, super close to townand the house was just stunning! Would stay again.
Jamie
We had a lovely stay at the house. It's clear that some rooms are still being refurbished, but they were all clean and quite comfortable. The place was super well stocked with everything we needed, which was great. The hot tub was a real treat, though it took ages to heat up in the freezing weather - the lid was frozen solid! Perfect for our multi-generational family weekendand we're already planning to return. Definitely recommend!
Harper
We loved the location, perfect for exploring and lovely walks just outside. The place is spacious, perfect for big groupsand parking was no problem. However, the garden isn't really suitable for dogs or kids because it's not secure. The hot tub was a bit of a letdown - leaks, turns green fastand gets way too hot. The showers are pretty outdated too, not the best experience overall.
Emma
The place is in a really great spot, with lovely outdoor areas and spacious downstairs rooms. The bedrooms are quite smalland some definitely need updating. The AGA cooker was a bit tricky and could do with a deep clean. Still, for a big group like ours of 12, it worked really well. Not sure about larger groups though!
James
Really enjoyed staying here, lovely gardens, close to town, very clean and well decorated.
Emily
We were pretty excited at first, but honestly, cleanliness was a big let down. The window on the landing was filthy, with dead wasps and flies just left there. The hot tub was a complete waste of time-took forever to heat up, so by the time we got back from our day out, it was cold. The beds in Skiddaw and Castlerigg were so hard we couldn't sleepand the shower in Thirlmere was ridiculously low, even for my 5'10” brother. Not dog friendly at all either. Wouldn't stay again.
Emma T.
Honestly, staying here was a bit of a mixed bag. The noise from the busy junction was constant, which made relaxing tricky. On the plus side, the furniture and fittings were nice, but the interior woodwork could do with a fresh coat of paint. The barbecue was pretty disappointing and the hot tub took ages to get going. Still, the town's closeby, about 20 minutes walk on a flat path.

Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 7 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 7 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 11 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 21 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 29 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
