Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top House, a National Trust attraction, is just 1.5 miles away. The village of Hawkshead is just a short 10 minute drive away, this is a must visit, a popular historic, car free market village with it's local food shops and quaint pubs.

To venture across the lake, take the ferry by car or foot to explore neighbouring tourist areas, such as Bowness on Windermere or the vibrant lakeland town of Windermere. One delightful way to see the surrounding scenery is to hop aboard one of the lake’s sightseeing cruises.

Step in through the side entrance and feel right at home in the property’s first lounge, a beautifully snug styled space featuring stone-flagged flooring, exposed stone walls, and cosy armchairs gathered around the warm glow of the wood burner. From here, steps lead up to the main lounge, a larger sitting area beneath the property’s dramatic timber A-frame.

This cosy space opens up onto a stylish timber and glass balcony furnished with outdoor furniture offering exceptional views of the lake. Head back down to ground-floor level to find a handy WC and the kitchen – a farmhouse-style space thoroughly equipped for any chef to work their magic.
